Raizner offers screening assessments for learning disabilities, ADHD, and school admissions testing (WPPSI-III/WISC-IV), in addition to comprehensive evaluations.
As a Clinical Neuropsychologist, I have been testing toddlers, children, adolescents and college students in Houston for over 10 years. A neuropsychological evaluation diagnoses learning disabilities, developmental disabilities, attention problems, language disorders, giftedness, emotional issues, and behavior issues by integrating testing with medical, academic and developmental history. Testing can also help educators and parents have a better understanding of a child's learning style and processing strengths and weaknesses. The goal of an assessment is to provide useful diagnostic information and targeted practical recommendations. Dr. Raizner works regularly with local schools, clinical psychologists, speech pathologists, occupational therapists and physicians.

I also provide qEEG Guided Neurofeedback as an alternative treatment for the management of ADD/ADHD, PTSD, anxiety, depression, panic attacks, insomnia, chronic pain, autism, etc.
My name is Cristina Lima and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, and a Board Certified in Neurofeedback. I have a PhD in Counseling. Besides my educational background, I have more than 23 years of professional counseling practice. I'm not even counting the several years of informal "counseling" with adults and teenagers that would request a ''moment of my time'' to discuss their personal issues - prior to even graduating from my bachelor's in psychology! Helping others is a passion that I have carried along for years - and keeps growing in me as I grow in my profession.

I am competent to work with most presenting concerns - so please reach if you think it may be a great fit for you! Presently, my main area of focus is ADHD, codependency, anxiety, and impacts of emotionally neglectful or immature parents.
If you find yourself on this site – you are likely looking for help. There is no problem too small or too large that counseling can’t help. Your life may feel disrupted from a new change or feel weighted by the same chronic feelings. You may feel objectively everything ‘should’ feel fine, and yet struggle to feel fulfillment. You may find yourself in a cycle of control trying to fix things on your own, only for more problems to come up. I would love to help you find what you are looking for and more! I practice telehealth only and can cover across Mississippi, Tennessee and Texas!

Does any of this resonate or speak of your life?: "I am suffering (anxiety/depression.) Why should I work with you?" Or, perhaps, "I want to develop my character." And, "I need encouragement in my life." Also, "I want to establish a satisfying, long-term relationship." Or, "My child/teen has ADHD or depression." I also work with TBI, grief and domestic violence. Many clients work with me over a number of years which speaks to the type of relationships I establish. I bring a quite presence to a safe place where you can share of yourself. Many appreciate that I am cash pay, therefore no interference from insurance providers.

When should I seek treatment for ADHD?

You should seek treatment for ADHD if you consistently have difficulty with attention, hyperactivity, or impulsivity that interferes with your daily life. Symptoms of ADHD include the inability to sustain attention during tasks, difficulty organizing tasks and activities, being easily distracted, frequent fidgeting or squirming, and talking or interrupting excessively. If these symptoms interfere with your career, academics, or relationships—for example, consistently failing to complete professional projects on time—you should seek an evaluation for ADHD.

How does treatment for ADHD work?

Effective treatment for ADHD often consists of medication, behavioral therapy, and lifestyle changes. Stimulant medications such as Adderall and Ritalin work by altering levels of neurotransmitters in the brain; higher levels of dopamine and norepinephrine are known to improve attention and focus. Therapy works by helping people with ADHD understand the condition, discuss their areas of difficulty, and develop behavioral strategies to manage their symptoms. In some cases, modifying one’s diet and exercise can also help improve symptoms.

Are there specific medications for ADHD?

Medications to treat ADHD are generally stimulants, the most common are Adderall and Ritalin. There are two categories of stimulants: Amphetamines include Adderall, Dyanavel, Vyvanse, and Dexedrine, and methylphenidates include Ritalin, Concerta, Daytrana, Focalin, Quillichew, Quillivant, and Metadate. Non-stimulants and antidepressants may be used as an alternative if stimulants aren’t effective or viable for a particular patient.

How long does treatment for ADHD take?

It’s tough to give an exact time frame because everyone varies. In terms of medications, stimulants begin to work very soon after you take them, generally within the hour. It may take time to identify the right medication and dosage, but the medication itself is fast-acting. In terms of therapy, it takes time to develop skills and put them into practice, but you will likely see improvements within a few weeks or months.
