My goal as a therapist is to help you indentify ways of improving your quality of life by discovering resolutions to current problems and becoming self-sufficient in dealing with similar barriers in the future. Through counseling you will also establish attainable short/long-term goals that will allow you to gain insight on life issues and achieve personal growth and development through the process.

Since 2018, I have had the greatest pleasure of serving individuals in the behavioral and mental health field where I have seen them make great leaps towards recovery. My previous experiences have allowed me to aid individuals overcome major adversities. “When we are no longer able to change a situation, we are challenged to change ourselves” is a quote by Victor Frankl that has guided me along my journey in the counseling field. Above all, I want to provide a welcoming and safe space with enough room for growth for each of my clients.

Life can become hard and difficult at times. Everyday obstacles, changes, and hardships can leave you feeling overwhelmed and helpless. It is easy to feel alone and unsure of how to handle difficulties and adversity. Getting help navigating your thoughts and feelings and learning to cope with these challenges is beneficial for moving forward in a healthy and productive manner. I am here to offer a roadmap to recovery whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, PTSD, trauma, mood disorders, anger management and/or education and learning disabilities or perhaps just adjusting to new circumstances.

I am confident in my skills as a therapist to help you help yourself. What I would require of you, in turn, is a willingness to search yourself and a willingness to take steps to learn to grow personally. I have worked with many issues from depression, relationship issues (including couples and marital therapy), anxiety issues, stress related issues, co-dependency issues, adjustment issues such as going through a divorce or recovering from a divorce (but not limited to those life events), and loss issues which may include trauma.

Beginning the process of self-exploration and healing requires courage, and I'm here to support you every step of the way. In the corporate arena, I witnessed firsthand the impact of stress, internal politics, and strained relationships in the wake of 2020. This transformative experience led me to my own process of self-exploration and a transition to a career in counseling. I am excited to offer a distinct viewpoint and unique support for others managing a work-life balance and experiencing burnout.

We specialize in working with CPTSD. Therapy can also be beneficial in addressing issues such as overwhelming or misplaced guilt, stress related to academics or employment, prioritizing others' needs over one's own, fear of abandonment, establishing healthy personal and professional boundaries, setting goals, and processing traumatic experiences.

I have helped a diverse population of individuals, families and children find healthy perceptions of themselves so they can know themselves as complete, and whole. I am especially trained in working with individuals who have experienced abuse and trauma, anxiety, depression. I work with families and parent to help them navigate the difficult teenage years and teach them effective communication skills . Together with the clients I help them improve the relationship with themselves, their families and their friends

Each family is unique and deserves a plan to assist them with their specific needs. Working as a team with the parents is an important part of the process. She works with the parents as a team to provide the support they need to help their child. Teresa is also Certified to work with Highly Sensitive Children and Adults
