They come with urgent needs because of relationships, social or friendship problems, difficulty completing schoolwork, trouble sleeping, problems with family members, worries about the future, difficulty dating or worries about work. I also specialize in school refusal, and social skills. Some of my clients have high functioning autism. Growing up in a large, blended family, I learned firsthand how to deal with relationships of all kinds. I counseled veterans and civilians suffering from PTSD and childhood trauma. This led me to EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) which can yield remarkable results in processing and healing trauma responses. In addition to EMDR I also use Psychodynamic Therapy, CBT and DBT. There is a solution to end the cycle of suffering. We can be free of emotional pain caused by trauma and childhood experiences to live our best lives now.

Life can be challenging and sometimes we are told to be strong despite these hard times. Some are taught a definition of being strong is to act like you’re okay, even when you really want to go hide. Or some are taught to pretend you have it all in order, although you really feel lost, stuck, or confused on what is your next step. Many are taught to keep pushing and move past things, not knowing moving past leads to suppression that will surface later on in life rather we want it to or not. I am passionate about helping others through such difficult times and encourage them to process the past while also working on the present.
