I offer individual, couple and family counseling. My approach is strengths-based, collaborative, and outcome-informed. You are the expert on your own life. Whether your goal is to resolve relationship conflict, recover from trauma or loss, receive parenting support, explore issues of identity and spirituality, optimize your career, or learn how to decrease anxiety or depression, my goal is to walk with you and provide a place where you can express yourself freely without being judged. I believe that just as relationships can be the source of hurt, we also heal through community in safe relationships.

Concerns typically addressed are topics such as goals, recovery after betrayal, self-worth, grief, communication struggles, affair recovery, depression, parenting, marital stress, forgiveness, boundaries, perfectionism, self-care, relationship enhancement, negative body image and shame.
Choosing counseling can be a monumental step in life's journey. I consider it a privilege to come along side you as you are seeking insight, growth and change. I enjoy working with women via phone therapy. My approach to counseling involves consideration of the whole person. Your mind, your body and your spirit. I utilize several counseling theories - Cognitive Behavioral, Solution-Focused, Emotion-Focused, and Accelerated Resolution Therapy among others. Mostly though, I focus on meeting you where you are and without judgment so that you can experience the growth you desire.

As someone who has navigated the rollercoaster of emotions and the occasional relationship squabble, I get it—life can be a wild ride. My own experiences with life's twists and turns have led me to become a therapist who not only understands the struggles but can also share a laugh along the way. I believe that therapy doesn't have to be all serious; a bit of humor can be a great way to connect and heal. With that being said, therapy can be a vulnerable journey and while no two stories are the same, I think you need a place where you can give someone all your puzzle pieces who can help make sense of what is going on with you.

Acceptance is essential to building a working relationship.
Ideal clients are people who realize they are struggling. They work up the courage to seek help even if it is scary or uncomfortable. People can have a wide range of issues such as anxiety, depression, grief, or trauma. The list is endless! Regardless of the issues, everyone in counseling deserves to be in a safe, respectful, and supportive environment while they work through whatever is keeping them from living their best life. These clients want to feel better, live better, and cultivate personal growth. The underlying hope when choosing to seek counseling is to progress beyond the pain and celebrate the ability to overcome.

Hello! Counseling can be a difficult decision to make, but common reasons people may seek it may be due to anxiety, depression, anger issues, relationship issues or changes in life and crossroads in career or life paths and many others. In my experience people want to feel good about themselves and confident in their decisions and feel present with life again and feel supported and not judged! It is hard enough to be open and vulnerable and I want to provide a safe space for people to feel at ease and comforted.

Connect with a counselor when you have reached your capacity to cope with the complexities of life. Many who experience behavioral health challenges or developmental disabilities may feel disconnected, lonely, empty, overwhelmed, or moved to avoid pain in unhealthy ways. I help clients develop healthy decision-making skills to move along their path to healing and wellness. I provide treatment and support to children, adolescents, adults, and families. In therapy we work together to develop practical skills to connect to what is meaningful and purposeful for the client.

Teens want to be heard and understood. They are facing an abundance of obstacles that they need help navigating. I’m here to do just that. I use an empathetic, non-judgmental approach to connect with my clients and determine the best methods to use to help them reach their therapeutic goals. I have found that including the family in this process has not only been beneficial for the client but the entire family as a whole.

My strongest belief as a therapist is that there must be a connection between therapist and client, one of trust and respect. Not all therapists are a right fit for you, you have to find the therapist you connect with. I have worked with individuals and their families to gain skills for coping with and managing issues surrounding depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, PTSD, and behavioral struggles along with relational and personal issues. I have worked with adolescents in hospital outpatient settings as well as private practice. I have experience working with children, adult individuals, couples, and families.

While need for human connection appears to be innate, the ability to form healthy, loving relationships is learned. Some evidence suggests that the ability to form a stable relationship starts to form in infancy, in a child's earliest experiences with a caregiver who reliably meets the infant's needs for food, care, warmth, protection, stimulation, and social contact. Such relationships are not destiny, but they are theorized to establish deeply ingrained patterns of relating to others. The end of a relationship, however, is often a source of great psychological anguish.
