Most Marriage and Family Therapists study systems. Even if an individual comes alone to a counseling session, they bring many influences. My role is to help you find your unique path amid the many voices, and become your best self. I have observed that almost everyone has had a time where they wondered if they have all the necessary life tools to move in a positive direction. Hi there, I'm Kelly. I know that there is no one-size-fits-all when it comes to therapy, and I strive to meet my clients where they are at. I use strength-based, egalitarian, and person-centered approaches and believe in the major importance of creating a safe and shared space in which everyone can feel open to explore all aspects of themselves. Being vulnerable is not easy, and I acknowledge the strength and guts it takes to make that first step toward change.

I am here to help you understand these feelings and find ways to heal past these feelings.

I have had the chance to work with clients from 3 years old to 70 years old of all different backgrounds and walks of life. I have worked with clients of different ethnicities, cultures, beliefs, lifestyles, identities, and sexualities.

I am a therapist, EMDR Therapist, Certified Forensic Mental Health Evaluator, and proud graduate of Regent University where I earned a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I also have a Master's in Clinical Psychology from Fielding Graduate University. My focus includes depression, anxiety, PTSD, and OCD. I conduct Immigration Evaluations using an integrative approach to therapy that includes various treatment modalities based on your therapeutic and personal needs. Because of my service in ministry, I am uniquely positioned to offer spiritual counseling from a Christian perspective at your request.

I come from a background in education, serving students and families in local districts since 2007, first through teaching and then through school psychology beginning in 2017. Within that timeframe, I have developed counseling skills working primarily with adolescents in the school setting. I believe that individuals thrive within an atmosphere of unconditional positive regard and solution-focused goal-setting.

I have over 40 years of experience, an advance certification in compulsive sexual problems and I am a certified weight loss specialist. I also have extensive training in treating anxiety and depression as well as problems in relationships. I am extensively trained in treating chronic pain and sleep problems through hypnotherapy and brief solution focused therapy. I have worked in Europe, India and the United States.

I have a passion for teaching individuals, couples and families how to improve their relationships, build confidence and self-esteem, and find greater happiness and satisfaction in life. I work with clients to help them develop strategies and learn specific skills to reach the goals they desire, while also understanding how their changes will impact the people around them. Therapy should feel hopeful and productive, and I love seeing people grow and change and feel more empowered, peaceful and happy with their lives as they learn new things and experience the satisfaction of seeing rapid change.
