I'm a person-centered therapist who is passionate about helping young adults overcome childhood trauma and emotional/psychological abuse. I know what it's like to feel stuck, to second guess yourself, and to struggle with trusting others. Low self-worth, anxiety, stress, fear, and difficulty expressing/controlling emotions can be debilitating. Often times, these struggles come with dysfunctional beliefs and negative thinking. I am licensed in Texas with 4 years of professional work experience. I have an associates in justice administration, a bachelor's in justice administration with a focus on human services and a minor in psychology, and a master's of arts in counseling. I have experience in helping clients with coping with addictions, trauma and abuse, & anger management. I also have experience working with coping with life changes. I have worked with all levels of addiction, Bexar County Probation, in-patient recovery, wounded transition for military members, domestic violence, and crisis intervention.

I know that experiencing a major life event such as trauma, a medical diagnosis, relationship conflict or parenting concern can turn the world you know upside down. I believe that as a person we can heal and recover whether this is mentally, physically or both. I have a holistic practice that not only helps your mental wellbeing but can address your physical health as well. I am Licensed Professional Counselor and Functional Medicine Practitioner. I can address your overall wellbeing not just your mental health. I am a certified EMDR (eye movement, desensitization and reprocessing) therapist and use other types of therapy to help.

My belief around therapy is to focus on what you want to accomplish, drawing from strengths you already possess. My style tends to be more active and interactive. Often individuals and couples face an impasse & may realize they might not have the tools to move forward. For some, it may be an ongoing concern like managing anxiety/depression, enhancing communication, healing from 'the past'. For some, there is an experience or event that is prohibiting forward movement.

I work with those who are experiencing high levels of anxiety, panic attacks, depression symptoms. I work with adults who are experienced with ADHD; childhood or adult traumas. I also work with adults who have lost a loved one (a person or a pet) and who are experiencing the tidal waves of grief.

Hello! My name is Zachary Willis, but I often go by Zach. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate supervised by Jeanie Bohall MMFT, LMFT-S, LPC. I have worked with individuals with depression and anxiety and with couples and families in connection and communication. I am truly honored when chosen to be someone's therapist. This is a hard decision to make and one that is not always easy. I have had the privilege to work with individual clients ages 12 to 80 years old. I enjoy helping teen clients navigate uncharted middle and high school territories and beyond.
