Richland Oaks Counseling Center (ROCC) is a non-profit clinic with offices in Richardson and McKinney. We offer a full spectrum of services including psychotherapy for children, adolescents, and adults in individual, couple, family, and group therapy settings. ROCC also offers a range of psychological testing services including assessments of intelligence, personality, learning disorders and giftedness, ADD/ADHD, Disability and Rehabilitation Service assessments, and assessments to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of other mental health concerns.

Dr. Rial-Baker is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Doctor of Ministry. She is a practical, interactive therapist who uses an array of therapeutic techniques. Her treatment approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients resolve current problems and long-standing patterns. She incorporates a blend of conventional, spiritual, and alternative approaches, drawing upon a variety of styles and techniques to incorporate what will be most helpful for each client. With sensitivity and compassion, she works with clients to help them to build upon their strengths to bring life and blessings into all that they experience.

My counseling practice focuses on teen girls and women navigating life transitions and challenges, such as relationships, anxiety, career, and depression. With extensive training in special education and behavioral management, I am available to help parents as they navigate developmental and behavioral challenges in their child.

I specialize in assisting individuals in understanding the root causes of their frustrations, anger, anxiety, and feelings of inadequacy in managing life's challenges. My goal is to help make life more meaningful and fulfilling. As a teacher, school counselor and therapist of over 20 years, I see the pain that life can take us through. I offer hope and support with non-judgment, compassion, and empathy.

I practice from an “attachment” perspective which is the key to unlocking a different way of understanding yourself and your interactions with others, opening a pathway to practical and relational healing. My office is a no-blame/no-shame environment. I provide both traditional talk therapy as well as Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP) to individuals (age 8 and up), couples, and families just 20 miles SE of Dallas. Because of my experience as an adoptive dad, foster and adoptive families are a focus of my practice.
