Hello, I'm Amber. I am a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT) accepting in person clients in Sonoma County and virtually from all over California. I work with all ages, I particularly enjoy working with teens, and access both my professional experiences and personal experiences to provide quality and individualized care to my clients. I am passionate about the outdoors, animals, music, art, and new adventures and I try to blend this into my therapy as much as possible while working from a Person Centered Approach.

My approach to working with clients is compassionate and person-centered. I believe each person is the expert on themselves and therefore my role is to be a supportive guide throughout the healing process. My training and experience have afforded me the opportunity to work with a variety of issues, including but not limited to, complex trauma, sexual abuse or sexual assault grief & loss, anxiety, depression, and those who may be experiencing heightened stress related to family, work, or social situations. You may be bringing years of hurt and challenging situations into counseling but I will be here to support you with that pain.

One thing we know for certain is that life is uncertain. How we perceive these uncertainties influence how we feel and how we respond, especially in the face of adversity. We can either stay stuck or find new ways to move forward, and sometimes we need help along the way. You may be dealing with life transitions like entering motherhood, dealing with the aftermath of trauma, or maybe you're struggling with anxiety and worry. Whatever it is, you are not alone. Therapy can be daunting, we usually prioritize it when chaos erupts. Chaos can be anxiety that makes it difficult for us to socialize, to quiet our minds; it is depression that prevents us from doing the things we love. My name is Audrey Mason and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who has 5+ years experience working with adults, adolescents, and children with a variety of mental health needs. I am excited to help people that have struggles with depression and anxiety. I have an extensive career in working for Child Protective Services (not as a therapist) but understand the impact of childhood trauma and its impact on children and as they grow into adulthood. I am compassionate and believe that everyone has the ability to change and can be resilient. I also have experience counseling in domestic violence, anger management and trauma. I conducted Batterer's Intervention and Prevention Program (BIPP) for over 5 years.

One of the hardest things as a father is to watch my children go through difficult things and at times feel completely helpless. Additionally, the more we focus on their needs it is equally a challenge to remember that there is an "US" in our marriage that exists and we have to nurture it with the same drive and care.
