You’re not broken; you don’t need to be fixed. It is part of the human condition to experience pain and suffering – and there are times, throughout life, we all lose contact with pieces of ourselves. When we get stuck in a cycle of harmful thoughts and ineffective coping strategies, it prevents us from accessing and experiencing positive events in the here-and-now.

I understand it can be difficult to choose someone you can trust to collaboratively guide you through your healing journey. My role is to meet you where you are in the process, in a non-judgmental and positive way towards the goals or changes you envision as possible. My experience is working with people struggling with Depression and Anxiety. Including Queer/Trans community, multilingual communities, intersectional identity issues, acculturative/cultural stress, identity development, chronically-ill and different-abled community, and Latinx/e community. I provide these services in English and Spanish.

Despite your best efforts, life is unknowable - you can't always predict or be prepared for what comes your way. You might need help sorting out what's going on. As a therapist, I have learned that we are not alone in our struggles. People hurt together, and we also must heal together. Through our relationships and experiences, we can grow and rediscover what we thought was once lost. I want to help you down that path of discovery while using psychotherapeutic approaches such as attachment theory, AEDP, IFS, interpersonal neurobiology (IPNB), Somatic Experiencing, and EMDR.

I serve all individuals starting at age 16 through adulthood, to work through real-life problems. Therapy can be difficult to seek for many reasons, including being stigmatized for needing help. Clients seeking therapy from me are often looking to heal from past or current traumas, learn who they are, work through difficult life circumstances, and learn to love and accept themselves. They are also people with full lives, who just need a little help through a difficult time.

I've always wanted to make a difference, which led me to a long and fulfilling career in Human Resources, and more recently to my calling as a faith-based counselor. My focus is on helping individuals involved in all walks of life including adolescents, young adults, adults, missionaries, ministers, pastors and their family members in dealing with life’s day-to-day and more complex issues such as anger, anxiety, depression, stress management, post-traumatic stress disorder, and substance use.

All appointments are telehealth. I have a passion for assisting others in their journey of healing from within. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over a decade of experience working with Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar, Self Esteem problems, Domestic and Sexual Abuse, Schizophrenia, and other major mental health challenges. I work mostly with adults and am particularly passionate about working with Geriatric/Elderly populations and those in the LGBTQ communities. My primary types of therapy are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused, and Strengths-Based, although I pull from many areas depending on my client’s needs.
