I specialize in trauma, narcissistic abuse, and grief. My focus is on healing the mother wound. Are you tired of emotional pain that won’t go away? Maybe you are exhausted of hoping to have a mother/daughter relationship, only to face disappointment again. You don't have to be trapped! If you don’t change, nothing will change. Supporting you in your change process is what I do. You cannot make anyone love you, but you can love yourself. Let's work on doing hard things together. As a post-trauma thriver and 15 years of no contact, I recognize the importance of being heard and understood while doing the grief work to heal.

WhatsApp +54 9 1140872012 - SPANISH and ENGLISH therapy Sessions. What leads a person to start a psychological treatment? Anxiety, low spirits, panic, mourning, anguish, loneliness, indecision, uncertainty, etc. The causes can be countless, but there may be something similar in all of them: the attempts to solve these problems are no longer enough. That is my invitation: the search for relief, which enables movements, changes, and improvement in those who start a therapy. A commitment to life, desire, and own well-being.

The Katy DBT Center follows in the tradition of the Houston DBT Center in striving for excellence of care and precision in treatment of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). We require all of our therapists to be experienced and well trained in the implementation of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). DBT is an evidence-based, modern behavioral therapy originally developed to treat individuals with the then "difficult" symptoms of borderline personality disorder (BPD). Due the the advent of DBT, BPD is now a good prognosis diagnosis and individuals receiving DBT treatment may expect to eventually no longer meet criteria for BPD.

ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS!! I have expertise in helping children, adolescents and adults recover from traumatic experiences/events in their lives. In order that we strive and move forward despite whatever obstacles we might face in life, we must instill the concept of RESILIENCY in our children, adolescents and adults. Resiliency teaches us to continue to move forward despite the obstacles we face. In order that we achieve our goal of promoting resiliency and community within the family, we found it most effective to provide a service that would make a difference not only in the homes of those we serve, but also in our communities.

Entering counseling services can be a huge leap out of your comfort zone. I admire the brave choice you have made, and I am constantly inspired by an individual’s resiliency and what they can accomplish through counseling. Therapy, like life, is a journey that at times may have bumps along the way, to reaching your ultimate destination. My role as a therapist, is to help you reach that destination. It won't always be an easy journey but, I will be there to support you along the way "Difficult Roads Often Lead to Beautiful Destinations"- Zig Ziglar

I work with children, adolescents and adults who have experienced abuse and complex grief.
The healing journey is a humbling process. Have you ever felt frustrated that you cannot outsmart your trauma history by thinking your way out of it? Do you avoid the painful memories, thinking it will help, but realize it finds its way back into your life even though you thought you managed to quarantine it. I know how that feels and I know how hard it is to rewire the neurobiology of your brain to allow for new and less painful experiences. You are not alone. I am inspired by the courage it takes to engage in therapy. I approach this work from an anti-oppressive framework and believe that clients know what they need to heal.

Grief Therapists

How long does therapy take for grief?

There is no exact timeline for grief counseling. Some people may start to feel better after just a few sessions, while others may take months or longer to feel relief. Some specific approaches, including some types of CBT, may involve a set number of sessions, or therapy may be open-ended until the patient determines they are ready to wrap up. Just as there is no right or wrong way to grieve, there is no right or wrong way to seek therapy for grief.

When should you seek therapy for grief?

Many people mistakenly believe that their grief needs to be debilitating or all-encompassing to warrant therapy. This is not the case. While people who experience severe, prolonged grief—particularly those who are considering self-harm or engaging in unhealthy substance use—are especially likely to benefit from therapy, so too are people whose grief is less intense but still interfering with well-being or daily functioning. In practice, almost anyone struggling to process a loss could benefit from grief counseling.

Can grief be managed without therapy?

Oftentimes, yes. Grief is a near-universal part of being human, and many find that their grief, while profound, does not stop them from participating in day-to-day life and steadily eases over time without outside help. For others, however, the harsh pain of early grief persists for months or years or leaves them unable to function. This group is especially likely to benefit from seeing a therapist, who can guide them through their grief and help them reconnect with the world.

What happens if grief is left untreated?

Because grief does not in itself necessitate therapy, untreated grief will often resolve on its own. However, for some people—particularly those who would qualify for a diagnosis of prolonged grief disorder—untreated grief can be a source of seemingly endless pain or lead them to withdraw from the world. In such cases, treatment can be indispensable, as it can help an individual adapt to the loss and start living again.
