Finding answers to many of life's problems is difficult. I have found that for some, it is difficult because they are asking the wrong questions. Answering the question, "Why?" can be helpful, sometimes in figuring out how a troubling situation occurred. Why something happens, however, does not always give a clear direction towards solving a problem. "How?" something happened and "What?" can be done to promote positive change can be much more useful in resolving an otherwise troubling situation.

Many times we find ourselves in emotional crisis that we can't get through alone. All people go through hard times in life. Some people get through it alone or with support from family or friends, others pretend to get through it and live with it constantly affecting their lives, and others are not able to get through it or pretend to. There is no right or wrong way to overcome hard times, trauma, anger, bereavement, grief, depression, addiction, or other obstacles in life. If you find yourself in a hard spot and in need of someone to listen and help guide you through it, with no judgement, I would like to be that person for you.

I understand that it takes great courage to ask for help, and see it as a true privilege to provide a safe and comfortable space for you to heal and grow through the counseling process. Erica Bones is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of Texas with over 10 years of experience in a variety of settings and with diverse clients, including both long-term and brief interventions. Erica finds joy in empowering others to reach their full potential. Life is full of changes and Erica is here to help you on a journey of balancing those transitions. I spent more than ten years working with veterans and their families, coping with deployment, PTSD, and family disruption throughout their military careers. I utilize a wide range of modalities such as Client-Centered Therapy, Couples Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Family Systems, Family Therapy, and Structural Family Therapy. I firmly believe that people are people regardless of their chosen labels or the ones society puts on them.
