My clients are responsible people (maybe too responsible!) who are looking for relief and balance. I work with people who are exhausted by trying to figure out how to continue on with all of life's demands, but also make room to care for themselves and heal. The folks I work with want to find a way to live by their values while making changes that help life not feel like such a slog. Beyond talking, I help clients experience themselves and their situations in a whole new way.

Dr. Abbassi is an expert in couple's communication and sexual issues. He is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist(LMFT), Certified Sex Therapist by American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists (AASECT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and approved Supervisor of LPC and LMFT. He works with individual (children and Adults) in the area of depression, anxiety and general life difficulties. Dr. Abbassi has been in private practice for over 26 years. As a full Professor at local Institute of Higher Education, Dr. Abbassi teaches and provides supervision to Counseling Interns for both LPC & LMFT boards.

Traci earned her Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Tulane University and her Master's degree in Clinical Psychology from Midwestern State University.

I work with children as young as 3, teens, adults, couples, and families. I hope to help you work through any issues related to depression, anxiety, and even relationship concerns in premarital and marriage counseling. I have also worked in crisis counseling and shelters, as a crisis counseling and trauma informed trained professional. Working with youth that have lived through trauma, I have extensive knowledge and skill helping adolescents work through issues such as depression, anxiety, school stress, self esteem, self harm, and bullying.

My therapeutic philosophy involves utilizing a holistic approach incorporating Gestalt and Adlerian therapies. As a Licensed Professional Counselor who specializes in athletes, children, adolescents, and young adults, I frequently work with clients experiencing issues related to poor sport or school performance, life changes during adolescence, life transitioning from college to career, parenting issues, sibling relationships, and divorce family transitioning.
