Problems in life can cause people to stain their future with hopelessness. I love to help people see how their present problems associate with issues from their past while we work on establishing a new future with healthy thinking processes and hope. Therapy can help you control your emotions while reacting to problems, redirect issues in relationships that have gotten off-track, establish boundaries, increase your self-esteem and focus on a positive future.

I am not accepting new clients right now, but work with some amazing people who do have openings. I am available for supervision. I am an LPC-S, RPT-S & Certified CCPT-S. I enjoy working with children, teens, individuals, and families. I also love working with couples, pre-engagement, pre-marital, and married. I have experience and enjoy working with anxiety, grief, depression, anger, PTST and other disorders. I am also a registered play therapist and offer play therapy for children of all ages.

Throughout life I have learned there is no "cookie cutter" or "one size fits all" approach to learning how to manage this thing called life. Through encouragement and openness to work as a team we can learn how to regain control over life's concerns.

Having the pleasure of working with kids, adults, couples and families for the past 20+ years has taught me that not all storms come to disrupt our life, some come to clear our path. After each session you will leave with HOPE and a PLAN. In my office we're casual; adults and teens call me Jan. We have a unique relationship based on confidentiality and trust. I only see people that I believe I can truly help. My practice is composed of female adolescents over 16 and women. You will leave each session with homework to keep your goals present daily. My specialities include: ADHD, Anxiety, Depression, Elder Issues, Grief, Home & School Interventions, Panic Disorder, Phase of Life Issues, Relationship strategies, Skills Acquisition, Women's Issues and young women who are confused about their life's path.

ADULT AGE FEMALE ONLY COUNSELOR I see my role in the counseling process as that of a "change agent". Someone who is meeting you at possibly one of the worst times in your life and saying "I'm willing to walk with you through this journey". My desire is to help women who are tired of living a life that no longer works for them. Often stressful life events, such as relationship challenges, job problems, health issues, or coping difficulties can trigger suffering and the need for support.

I enjoy working with children, adolescents and adults who are dealing with life issues that result in depression, anger, and an inability to function in their daily lives. I also enjoy working with couples and families. I believe that families function as a system and when one family member is out of sync, the entire family is disrupted. In my practice, I see children as young as 3 years of age. Play is the "language of the child" and Play Therapy allows children to work through their issues in a non-threatening environment.

I work with individuals experiencing chronic stress either from previous or current circumstances. Problems may relate to loss or trauma. There may be relationship or family conflict. Problems may exist in the work place or arise after retirement. A person may be having health problem or facing death. Decision-making and problem solving may be difficult. Feelings of fear, worry and even panic may exist. Depression may be setting in. Our struggles vary and change over time. Is your struggle lasting too long.
