Greetings, my name is Julie Peterson, and I would love the opportunity to brighten your family's life. Understandably, life can be challenging at times, so let's work together through those times. Healing and growing come from working together towards a common goal. Over the past 25 years, I have worked as a social worker with children and their families. My experience ranges from working with children as young as four to adult clients. Children are my specialty, but I'm willing to use my skills to help anyone.

Each of us carries our own unique story as we make our way through life. On the way you may encounter challenges and struggles which leave you feeling uneasy, out of sync, or trapped. Additional issues including grief and loss, unresolved trauma, depression, anxiety and chronic stress lessen your ability to fully live life. I often combine the use of solution-focused brief therapy (SFT) with narrative therapy since it helps in writing a better future for ourselves and creating hope for tomorrow. I received a Master of Science in counseling from Grand Canyon University and have been working extensively to bring hope, healing and therapy to those in need. Since graduating from Dallas Baptist University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, my career began working with women negatively impacted by substance abuse. My experiences span from a variety of settings including work in an acute behavioral hospital, outpatient care, residential day treatment, group and family therapy.
