I operate with the assumption that individual and couple’s counseling should be safe and helpful in practical ways. My bias is that it should be as brief as possible to meet a person's current need, while at the same time of sufficient duration to stabilize one’s walk into their days ahead. I believe it should provide real-world help for navigating the challenging transitions of life that often interfere with progress toward our desired objectives and God designed potential. I believe it is critical to cultivate the capacity to live fully and mindfully in the here-and-now to chart a sure and safe path to a satisfying future.

Hello, it’s great to meet you. My name is Kimberly and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor. I received my B.A. in Psychology from Texas Tech University and my M.A. in Counseling from Wayland Baptist University. I have 8 years experience working in mental health and substance use counseling.

As a Texas based practice, we are passionate about helping people overcome problems they view as getting in the way of life's pleasures. Hello! I bring 16 years of mental health experience along for your sessions. I consider myself a generalist and I'm happy to help you with any need or concern that you might have. Some of the areas where I have the most experience are depression, anxiety, substance abuse, and grief and loss. I am unable to accommodate couples therapy at this time, but I am happy to assist you with a referral. I do not typically work with minors. I specialize in marriage, trauma, and addiction counseling. I help couples with communication, conflict resolution, building trust, intimacy, and emotional connection. I am also trained specifically to help couples where trauma or betrayal has occurred in the relationship or in their past and how that affects marriages. I help with past trauma by processing in a SAFE environment, achieve emotional healing, coping strategies, and reduce symptoms. This can improve everyday functioning and prevent re-traumatization. I am trained to help clients take steps to achieve life long sobriety through honesty, support, and understanding.
