In my practice I enjoy working with adolescents and adults on a variety of different situations and challenges. I have a special interest in helping clients who are experiencing anxiety, excessive worry, OCD and phobias. Treatment areas include: Anxiety Disorders (Social anxiety, Separation Anxiety, Generalized Anxiety), Phobias, Depression, Parenting Support, Grief Counseling, Adjustments and transitions, Stress Management, Conflict Resolution. I have 15 years direct experience in the behavioral & mental health and substance abuse fields. I assist individuals in coping with life issues including dual diagnoses, behavioral, mental health, substance abuse, relationships, personal conflicts, sexual issues, problem solving, decision making and developmental concerns using an eclectic approach supported by evidence-based research. I provide counseling services to children via art and play therapy. I also counsel adolescents and adults to address a variety of topics (trauma, substance abuse, peer pressure, mental health issues, anxiety, depression, adjustments, trauma, etc).

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I assist children, adolescents, and adults working through complex trauma, shame, anxiety, and other disturbances. I utilize a variety of methods, aimed to help you heal, such as EMDR, Brainspotting, HeartMath, TF-CBT, EFT Tapping, and Sand Tray. You can expect a genuine experience that goes beyond traditional talk therapy, giving you the confidence to be yourself again.

I have gained unparalleled experience by working collaboratively with TDCJ, local nonprofit organizations, and juvenile justice systems for approximately 6 years. My experience and areas of expertise include but are not limited to, abuse and neglect, post-traumatic stress, drug and alcohol misuse, childhood trauma, anger management, recovery support services, mental health and well-being, veterans, and women’s issues in both adult and adolescents.
