Our Mental Health Pastoral Counselors are certified, trained in providing, trauma informed biblical counseling for students, Adults, Youth, Teen, Couples, Marriage and Family that are struggling with, Opioids, Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, PTSD, Addictions such as alcohol/drug abuse, marijuana, THC, Vaping, Fentanyl addiction, pornography, anger management, behavioral issues, social/relational concerns. All counseling, Aftercare and Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP), are all 1 on 1. In person or Telehealth. Court ordered DWI, and DUI programs are available.

Dealing with addiction can be very difficult and overwhelming to deal with alone. Addiction doesn't look the same for everyone but anyone can overcome addiction. Drug abuse and addiction problems can be devastating, not only to the individual but to the family as well. Knowing that you are not alone is the first step to ease your mind. Everyone with an addiction problem has their own story that should be individualized not judged but heard. Identifying the biological, environmental, behavioral, and social causes and consequences of drug use and addiction is just some of the steps that we will face together.

As a first-generation Mexican-American, I am sensitive to the multi-cultural needs of my clients. I am fluent in Spanish and English and able to effectively provide therapy in the language in which the individual is most comfortable, in doing so, their goals have a higher probability of being achieved. My clinical experience has provided me with the abilities to work with a wide range of emotional and behavioral issues related to trauma, depression, stress management, grief, parental support, and substance use.

Sometimes life feels like it gets so big that we feel that getting a solid grip on it is impossible. I work with the individual to help them see that the problem is not as big as it may seem. We work together, by using their tools and strengths, to break it down to a manageable size. This allows the client to create a better way of coping with the issues.

I love being a counselor. Watching my clients transform and grow is the most rewarding part of my job. I have specialized for over a decade in addiction and trauma, with emphasis on issues facing today's teens.. I meet my clients where they are emotionally, encouraging them to find their inner strengths and work toward goals together. We all have the innate ability to handle whatever life throws our way. However, it is often overwhelming and feels too heavy to walk through alone. My mission is to listen without judgment and help my clients find solutions that increase their overall well-being.

Most of us, at one time or another, experience personal problems. Sometimes they affect one's overall performance, sometimes they don't. I am available for those times when situations in life cause personal problems and you need help to get you through them. You don't have to do it alone. I have over 25 years counseling experience as both a mental health and substance abuse counselor. Some of those years were as a Psychiatric Medic in the military, including the Gulf War. I am committed to counseling those who are struggling with life adversities, trials and tribulations who are suffering from mood disorders, anxiety, grief, stress, substance abuse, relationship issues, and issues concerning parents of LGBT children, as well as other life stressors or disorders. I counsel mostly adults from ages 18 to 64. I use the Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as a primary approach to conduct therapy.
