When it comes to counseling we keep it simple. You know how you want to feel and how you want your mental health and relationships to be. As we work together you will be able to develop the roadmap to get you there. We will provide you with the tools, resources, interventions, and methods in a judgement free safe space. Our therapeutic process is brief, highlighting your strengths. We address your concerns right away, so you can have relief starting on the first session. Exercises are given in between sessions to accelerate growth.

Are you facing challenges with anxiety, depression, or relationship issues? With so many "unknowns" all around you, we are here to provide support and understanding through your journey. We also specialize in treating children as young as 3 years old, preteens, adolescents, and adults with trauma, self harm, sexual abuse, and grief. With children, we are skilled in treating behavioral issues, ADHD, and peer-relationship skills. We also use a variety of modalities to help my clients effectively implement healthy coping skills, positive self talk, and work towards a healthier you, using EMDR, Gottman, CBT, and Play/Activity Therapy.

Life can be overwhelming. You may be struggling under the weight of anxiety or depression, feeling burnt out from caring for others, or struggling to manage the demands of day to day life. Perhaps you belong to the neurodivergent or LGBTQ+ communities and seek a space where you can be understood and accepted. My clients come to me because they desire relief, understanding, and the ability to embrace and have compassion for their true selves. They come to me for effective strategies to manage their mental health, heal from difficult experiences, and live authentically. They are aiming for a balanced, genuine, and fulfilling lives.

I focus primarily on helping children and teens who struggle with anxiety, depression, ADHD, behavioral issues, relationship challenges, trauma, and low self esteem. I hope to help your children and teens normalize the emotions they feel while also helping them learn coping strategies and alternative methods to overcoming difficulties. I strive to form individual connections so they recognize they are supported, heard, and feel safe. One of my priorities is ensuring that you, as parents, are involved and supported through the therapeutic process of your children.

I believe in meeting my clients where they are, helping them identify where they want to be, and working with them to make a tangible plan to get there. I believe therapy should be a judgment-free, empathetic environment where we build a therapeutic relationship that facilitates even the most painful growth. Through this approach, clients understand that I am genuinely motivated to help them reach their happiest, healthiest self, which allows me to provide difficult feedback when necessary. Optimum wellness looks different for everyone, and I believe that no matter what everyone can and deserves to pursue (and achieve) this state.

My years of experience include both teaching and counseling, having worked with all ages in areas such as anxiety, depression, trauma, couples counseling, substance use, grief, disruption in personality, anger management, and low self-worth. In working with adults and couples, I take an eclectic approach to counseling using a variety of theories that would be most beneficial to the client's needs. My hope for all of my clients is to feel safe, seen, and experience the freedom that healing can bring.

Children and adolescents often struggle with the same difficult feelings and emotions that adults do, but they have limited ways of expressing themselves. Similarly, parents can find themselves at a loss to reach their child, often leading to stress, anxiety, and disconnection. I have spent years working with children, teens, and their families in order to create healthy coping skills and foster healing, growth, and connection. I am passionate about helping children reach their full potential in a safe environment to explore their thoughts and feelings and develop necessary skills to thrive.

Both he and his wife enjoy both indoor and sand volleyball, tennis, being outdoors, and working on the house. They value both friends and family and enjoy the opportunity to spend time with them. I have over 20 years experience and I love to work with children and families, and my specialties include children learning differences, including ADHD, Autism, 2e, Dyslexia and other neurodivergences. Supervision fees: Students-FREE, LCDC Interns & LPC Associates-$300/month. Supervision is primarily virtual; however, in person supervision can be arranged. You can receive up to 6 hours of formal supervision per month plus unlimited support between sessions.

I'm a Christian who has been counseling for 29 years. My expertise is most evident with clients that present with trauma backgrounds. I use EMDR and Flash Technique to process negative and traumatic memories that lead to distressful symptoms like depression, anxiety, triggers, or panic. And since trauma involves the whole being, I'm passionate about addressing the spiritual underpinnings and values that clients wrestle with, and how these have impacted your relationship with God, others, and self.
