She has 20 years of professional experience and focuses onn helping married and engaged couples heal and/or deepen their relationship. All of her services are offered virtually (no in-office appointments). It is her desire to provide Christian counseling for those throughout Texas, Hawaii and Florida that are seeking transformation in their lives and relationships. Mrs. Austin uses an integrated treatment approach that is customized to each client's individual needs and each couple's needs and goals.

I have been a resident of the North Austin area for the last five years and am a Texas native, though I did spend some time growing up in the beautiful mountains of Colorado. Love to focus on building deeper and joy-filled relationships and to help folks deal with related issues that cloud or serve as obstacles to this, including connecting, communicating, emotional attunement, "hearing each other", understanding "why we do what we do", anger, forgiveness, intimacy including sexual intimacy, infidelity, unresolved childhood issues affecting present living, career/life transitions, anxiety, fear, stress, depression, self-esteem and loss and grief. Trauma leaves a residue of dysfunctional thoughts, behaviors, and medical conditions that can and need to be detoxed out. EMDR treatment has effects such as no longer depending on pharmaceuticals, having an extra second to think, & more. I have spent two decades studying personality disorders, & the body's mechanism to dissociate. A spark was ignited when I first taught self-efficacy to orphaned and trafficked girls in India and I have been striving for change when others have given up ever since. We need to redefine and change the vocabulary of "mental illness" and "stable; into "gifted" and "recovered".
