Hola y Bienvenidos! My name is Ivette Soto, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor offering tele-health services to individuals above the age of 12. My services are available in both English and Spanish. I work with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, and life adjustments, and I have extensive experience working with children with autism, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, behavioral concerns, and other related disabilities as a Registered Behavioral Therapist.

Some of us are surviving through life, but are we really living? Life comes with many challenges and obstacles that can impact our mental health and overall well-being. While taking that initiative in seeking counseling can be overwhelming and scary, it is the first step to your journey of healing and that shows strength. Creating a safe space for you to express yourself is of upmost importance to me and I do so by demonstrating genuine empathy and establishing trust in the work I do with clients. I aim to facilitate growth and empowerment by taking a collaborative approach with clients as we go through the therapeutic process.

In life, we reach a point or go through a sudden life change that requires for one to make life adjustments. At times, these life adjustments are due to unexpected circumstances or situations that occur due to a form of trauma, abuse, depression, anxiety, divorce that affect our mental health. This can make one feel hopeless and alone. I can help guide you, help manage, help with teaching you skills that you can apply to these situations daily. I will listen without judgement and apply my expertise and approach that I believe can help you with coping skills and take on these challenges.

I am a licensed Professional Counselor and part of the National Board of Certified Counselors. As well, I am a Professional Psychologist and part of the American Psychological Association with training in Industrial and Organizational Psychology.

Pursuit of Happiness provides counseling for children and families in foster care. We offer in-home and telehealth counseling throughout Texas. All of our counselors practice trauma-informed counseling and have training in play and trauma techniques to help children and families heal and grow in a safe therapeutic space. Our counselors will come directly to you and meet in the home, school, or daycare depending on your schedule needs. Virtual counseling is also available. We are in network with Superior Healthplan, Traditional Medicaid, and Wellpoint.
