I utilize an approach of Cognitive Behavior Therapy ( CBT), Solution Focus Therapy and DBT Mindfulness skills in treating anxiety, depression, anger, grief, trauma, relationship issues, codependency issues, low-self-esteem, Men’s issues, family problems, and substance abuse problems.
Mental Health recovery is possible and it starts with having the courage to seek help. Taking care of your mental health is an act of self-love. There is no shame in seeking help for your mental health. I work with adolescents and adults who are experiencing anxiety, depression, anger, grief, life transitions, relationship issues, and other day-to-day challenges. It is my goal to help clients identify their strengths, help you learn coping skills, gain insight into your thought patterns and behaviors; to help you navigate life’s daily stressors and overcome the greater obstacles.

I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral, and Person-Centered techniques.
You were created for a purpose. There are times when this statement seems more false than true because life is hard and has so many challenges. Sometimes it’s even difficult to talk to family or friends about what you are experiencing out of fear of fear or rejection, judgment, or being misunderstood. I create a safe, nonjudgmental, and caring space for my clients to discuss those difficult experiences and challenges. I support my clients in working through their traumatic and difficult past, enveloping the strength and resilience to work through current challenges, and creating a promising, purpose-driven future.

My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, solutions-focused, and supportive therapy.
"We cannot be taught wisdom, we have to discover for ourselves by a journey which no one can undertake for us, and effort which no one can spare us," M. Proust. I provide counseling for those who are seeking a journey of discovery. Often we find ourselves in a place where we do not want to be and we are not sure where we can turn for help. It is at these troubling times that we seek guidance and assistance. If you would like to start down a road of personal discovery and make positive changes in your life, contact me now to begin a new chapter in your life.

I integrate psychodynamic psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and logotherapy to help you build self-awareness and empower you to tackle your obstacles with courage and confidence.
When mental health is compromised, peace and stability can feel out of reach. Struggles are guaranteed in this life, but no one should have to suffer alone. If you find yourself lacking effective coping strategies, experiencing grief, constantly worrying, losing interest to live, or battling harmful behavior or thoughts, you may benefit from therapy. The goal of psychotherapy is to bring insight into why you act, think, and feel the ways you do so that you can grow into the person you're meant to be. This insight unlocks your ability to make lasting improvements in your behaviors, emotional stability, and relationships.

I have worked with children and adults for 25+ years. In my practice, I provide an individualized written treatment plan to meet the client's needs. I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy ( CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). CBT focuses on changing an individual's thoughts in order to change his or her behavior and emotional state. It has been proven to be highly effective in many areas such as anxiety and depression. DBT is a modified form of CBT where clients are taught mindfulness (living in the moment), how to tolerate and cope with stress, regulate emotions and develop healthy interpersonal relationships.

First, through the use of ACT, CBT, and Attachment theory, I provide therapy sessions that can alleviate the burdens associated with anxiety, depression, grief, abuse, trauma, and divorce.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) specializing in therapy for individuals 12+, couples, and families, as well as ADHD evaluations. My approach is rooted in the belief that you are the expert in your own life, and that understanding yourself better holds great power. I firmly believe that it is never too late to break free from unhelpful patterns and cultivate relationships that bring joy. Everyday I witness people transform and grow, regardless of how long they have felt stuck or what they have experienced in the past.

Life is full of ups and downs; sometimes, when we are down, it can be hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Whether we are dealing with the battles of our everyday lives or battling from within, there is hope, and it is okay to ask for help. Everyone deserves a place where they can feel free to be themselves and feel heard and seen. In my therapy practice, I believe in a collaborative approach, where the individual is the team captain of their treatment. This empowers them to be in control of their healing process. I strive to provide therapy that is person-centered, culturally sensitive, nonjudgemental, and open-minded.

More and more I see women who are truly "doing it all" They might work full time, take care of the kids, and manage the house while dealing with a partner who doesn't appreciate how hard it is to live up to almost impossible standards. Sometimes it's stay at home moms who do a ton of work but don't feel appreciated for all that they do and feel isolated from others. I also see so much Anxiety. It seems as if Covid brought everyone's anxiety out of hiding. Things that we never worried about before are now overwhelming. Social Anxiety is also increasing due Covid related isolation. You are not alone with these feelings.
