I love doing therapy with adolescents and adults who are striving to become their genuine selves. You will be treated with the utmost care and sincerity. Directive therapy is a guided processes in which the client learns how their experiences have shaped their emotions, behaviors, and thinking - determining the course of their destiny. In this process, the client will learn to transform their thinking to bring the change they long for. Unlike other forms of therapy, directive therapy allows the client to see the therapist at work, as the therapist updates the client from session to session on how their analysis is progressing, how their problem is structured, and how to effect meaningful change

I have a Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with over sixteen years in the field of therapy.

You are not your diagnosis. I focus on wholistic treatment while providing individual and family therapy in order to understand the various aspects of your mental health. My goal is to help you understand your symptoms, and help you navigate through the obstacles that may arise to return your focus to living life. We will focus on your strengths, and how to use the coping skills I will teach you to resolve any conflict. I enjoy working with clients who love to be encouraged and who are needing to be supported in their efforts in recovery and working through life. I particularly understand rehabilitation and recovery and its impact on an individual or family. I work with adults and couples.

My approach to helping is based on my client's perspective rather than my own. I contend that appreciating and respecting the client's experience for what it is, is essential to productive therapeutic growth. I view counseling as a highly personal and subjective experience, where developing an empathic, connected and trusting relationship is imperative; it is through the safety of this connection that clients can work toward positive change. While I have had extensive experience working with a wide variety of clients, my specializations include women's issues (including domestic violence and trauma), relationships, GLBTQI issues, pregnancy/infertitility issues, internet addiction and couples work.

As a counselor I create a warm and supportive environment in which my clients can move from feeling stuck, isolated, and conflicted in some area of life to feeling more connected, motivated and successful. I specialize in working with adolescents, adults and couples who are experiencing relationship issues, grief and loss, depression, anxiety and self-esteem issues. I believe in defining goals with my clients, exploring new ways of thinking about yourself and others and learning better coping strategies. My goal is to help my clients heal from past wounds and achieve their own definition of success.

I am a Licensed Psychologist and Licensed Specialist in School Psychology. Authenticity and agency are at the core of my practice. I work collaborative to help my clients begin their journey to becoming the best version of themselves. Each of us has within us an ability to define what gives us purpose and meaning in our lives. Assessment and therapy can help find these abilities and promote flourishing and happiness. Hope requires two things: A goal and a path.

As a licensed LPC therapist, I have four years of experience working with adolescents and adults experiencing issues with trauma, anxiety, inter-relational conflicts, and other mental health struggles. I have a Master of Arts in Counseling from St. Edward's University, and am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). Throughout my career, I’ve worked with clients who have experienced abuse, sexual assault, drug addiction, and violence to help them process their traumas and reclaim their lives.

Families are a system and when one a part of the system is disrupted it can affect the entire system. Lindsay is looking forward to working with couples and families. Her focus is couples who are facing divorce or working to reconcile, blended families, parenting, co-parenting and seeing members of the family on an individual bases who are working through depression and anxiety ages 12+.
