Transforming Life Center is a nonprofit 501(c)3 counseling and mentoring agency. My goal is to provide a warm safe and caring environment and emotional support for our clients. We provide psychotherapy and counseling services for individuals, couples, families, and children.

I have enjoyed spending my life living, working, and mentoring in multicultural environments in the US, Europe, Africa, and Asia. My counseling experience expands by 40 years. I received my bachelor’s and master of Arts degrees from Dallas Baptist University. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and have completed 50 hours of Trauma training and 40 hours of Certified First Responder Counselor Training certificate programs. In my experience, the challenges in our relationships result from shame, fear, wounds, trauma, unrealistic expectations, or any combination of these.

I have both the ability and experience to counsel individuals experiencing Marital and Family difficulties, Child and Adolescent problems, Substance Abuse, Mental Health and Anger issues, Depression, Anxiety issues, Crisis Intervention, Personality Disorders, and Grief difficulties.

I am a therapist who uses an eclectic approach with my clients. I believe in a person-centered method. My therapy style is warm and interactive. Improving your quality of life is the priority and I feel the best way to reach that is by tailoring each session to meet your specific needs. In sessions, you can expect a collaborative approach. As a therapist, I strive to break the barriers of traditional therapy by going beyond the mind and helping facilitate healing for the body as well. Research has confirmed that the body is in fact what keeps the score. I am an out-of-the box therapist that operates from a holistic healing standpoint, who believes that everyone can and deserves to heal. I work with adults of all ages to help uncover the true source of their suffering. I operate by going to the root of the problem and helping discover unidentified traumas, griefs, and unproductive belief systems that may be holding one back from living the life that they truly desire.

Supervised by Christina Watts-Figueroa, MA, LMFT-S, LPC-S, RPT-S. I strive to be authentic and human in session with my clients to promote a safe environment. After working 5 years in the field of ABA therapy I took on counseling as I saw a greater need for parents and adults in dealing with an Autism diagnosis. I heavily focus on experiential processing in session with all clients to provide an alternative form of communication. I love to work with the communities I have been apart of such as military, LGBTQ+, and mixed race background. I would love to make a safe space for you.

Going through life with no guidance is hard enough, but having a support system in place can ease life stressor's. I believe individuals should live a fulfilled life as a healthy whole person. Our office believes that access to counseling should be easy and comfortable. I personally try my best to never turn away a client, schedule immediately, and work with any financial barriers. Although I work with a variety of treatment goals and treatment modalities, I am known for my work with children, trauma experienced populations, relationship counseling, addictions, military and advocacy for community health. When working with children, I always involve the parents and I attempt to assess in a variety of settings to assure I have the entire picture. Counseling should feel comfortable and safe.

I believe that you are the expert of your story and that you have many strengths that will assist you in overcoming things that challenge you.
