My family and I have lived in the Central Texas area for many years. I am familiar with the local area, and coming from a military family, I was raised all over the country. I earned my Masters of Science in Social Work from The University of Texas at Austin. I specialized in infant, child and adolescent mental health as well as clinical assessment. I have worked in many areas with varying populations such as: the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Evaluation Services at Fort Hood, Scott and White Hospital, Dialysis Clinics, and Veteran's Administration Hospital.

Life can be brutal, can't it?! Can you remember that time in life when you were happy, like top of the world scream it from the rooftops happy? In that moment, everything was right in your world and then well, life happened. Now you look back and have so many questions...What happened? Let me tell you, you are not alone! We've all been there in some season of life. But who says this can't make us better!

I am most drawn to working with clients who actively engage in the therapeutic process and demonstrate a willingness to confront challenges with openness and honesty. Clients who are motivated to explore their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, and actively participate in setting and working towards their therapeutic goals. Clients open to feedback, willing to try new strategies or techniques, and committed to personal growth and self-improvement. By collaborating with clients who are proactive and engaged, I believe we can cultivate a productive and enriching therapeutic relationship that promotes lasting change and fulfillment.

Life experiences can sometimes cause a loss of hope and limiting beliefs. My passion is to help you trade those limiting beliefs for conquering confidence in order to identify, obtain and reclaim your purpose. I am blessed to have worked with children and families from different backgrounds and cultures in both the private setting and school setting to include special education and general education KG-12th grade, as well as high school counseling. I currently work with children, adolescents and adults.

I resonate with them as a mom of young adults and a retired military wife. So often "I'm flying blind and making this up as I go." We need two things when we're overwhelmed--a plan and accountability. In other words, another person who has some idea how to find where I left myself and then how to help me move again in maybe a different direction. With less shame, less pretending, less judgment. More breathing room.

I have 17 years specialized training & experience in body-centered psychotherapies, working with trauma, post traumatic stress & moral injury. Neuroscience confirms trauma resides in the body; we know the body's wisdom guides the release of trauma perfectly with adequate safety, effective "witnessing," & mindful inner attention. Distressing thoughts, beliefs & social inhibition are the primary barriers to the body's ability to release trauma & re-wire the neurological system in a transformational process that decades of "talk therapy" could never accomplish. These powerful, highly effective interventions assure the debilitating effects of trauma are no longer something people must "live with."
