Hi there, I'm Kim. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, and I am passionate about helping clients face life's challenges and come out happier, healthier, and stronger on the other side. The clients I see are often experiencing major life transitions, trauma, grief and loss, addiction and recovery, stress, anxiety, and depression. In my practice, I often use person-centered therapy to meet the client exactly where they are at. I also use a variety of different tools as needed and have a strong Christian faith that can be incorporated if the client chooses a faith-based model of therapy.

I am a self-proclaimed “hope dealer” with a passion for mental health. I have gained unparalleled experience by working collaboratively with TDCJ, local nonprofit organizations, and juvenile justice systems for approximately 6 years. My experience and areas of expertise include but are not limited to, abuse and neglect, post-traumatic stress, drug and alcohol misuse, childhood trauma, anger management, recovery support services, mental health and well-being, veterans, and women’s issues in both adult and adolescents.

Life can be difficult—full of struggles, challenges, changes, and the unexpected. We keep these events in our minds, whether at the front to consciously influence all of our decisions, or packed away in a box in a corner, to be dealt with ‘in the future’. When your box begins to overflow or you realize that it is time to open it, I’m here to help you unpack, sort, and re-pack the box. My goal is to help you regain control of the box, so that the box no longer controls you.

I enjoy working with children 15+, individuals, couples, and families. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas. I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from University of North Texas and a Masters of Marriage and Family Therapy from LeTourneau University.
