Seeking a counseling professional takes a lot of courage and I am honored that you are considering me to help you in this process. I am thankful for every person I get to meet and help seek a healthy mental life. My heart and expertise are in the area of dealing with relational issues whether it be between a couple or between parents and teens. So many times, communication gets in the way of being able to deal with the real issues so there is no real resolution. I also have a great desire and many year of experience in working with women's issues. Each individual experience we go through, does affect us, however, that does not mean that we cannot change the way we respond to situations or the way we think about things.

Therapy is client centered addressing issues causing distress. I have been in practice for 25 years and I am licensed in Texas and Georgia. Focus is on development of skills to improve quality of life exploring influence of family of origin and self defeating behaviors that get in the way of the process of change. Overall goal is to facilitate and empower clients to make positive and lasting changes to improve quality of life.

I am Toshanika M. Kennington, a compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with 20 years of experience in the field. My expertise lies in the assessment and treatment of sexually aggressive youth and adults, sexual trauma survivors, and trauma-focused interventions.

All individuals experience struggles or crisis at some point in their lives. As an experienced licensed psychologist, I am committed to helping my clients overcome obstacles and meet goals that will lead to lasting and meaningful changes in their lives. I provide individual, group, and family therapy to clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, trauma, grief/loss, life stressors, parenting challenges, attention-deficit disorder, and related behavioral disorders. I also conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations of children, adolescents, and adults. Dr. Storey’s approach to psychotherapy aims to provide the dual approach of providing symptom relief, and diving into the root of each individual’s presenting concern. She views psychotherapy as a means to help individuals make sense of wants and needs, and to advocate for a way of being that feels empowering and in connection with their own values. She can help with identification of triggers, improving coping skills, and enhancing relaxation skills.
