Typically, past struggles continue to negatively shape present experiences and reduce or distort future hopes and expectations. Folks often feel shut out, attacked, unwanted, devalued, inadequate, or alone - sometimes for months or years at a time.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing therapy to adults virtually throughout the states of Maryland and Texas and in-person at my office in far west Houston, Texas. I'm a LPC Associate who is passionate about providing counseling that is inclusive, diverse, and accessible. I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults with concerns regarding anxiety, depression, domestic abuse, educational and learning disabilities, OCD, self-esteem, self-harm, and stress. I'm also bilingual and specialize in working with immigrants and the LGBTQIA+ population. I understand therapy can be intimidating, which is why I strive to be gender affirming, sexuality affirming, anti-racist, and culturally mindful in determining an effective therapeutic approach.

I am a certified specialist in eating disorder treatment, as well as treating trauma, anxiety, and athlete mental health. I use a variety of treatment modalities to create an individualized therapeutic relationship and experience for each of my clients to reach their goals and have an open, accepting space to process their life stories.

The path from growing up quietly queer in a small Midwestern town to living as an out lesbian in the 4th largest city in the country has informed my work within the LGBTQ+ community. I believe that knowledge is an integral part of building acceptance and pride in oneself and the community, and I am eager to continue working with people in all stages of the coming out process. Most recently, my focus has been on HIV prevention and treatment; I am passionate about working with clients who are at high risk for exposure, entering treatment, or working to maintain viral suppression.
