I was inspired to be a counselor by my own struggles with family codependency. There is hope! Through a combination of therapeutic techniques, cognitive behavioral, solution focused, reality, family systems, feminist, and humanistic therapies, I will help you identify what is holding you back. The goal is to provide you with the insights and tools you need to move past old, limiting beliefs and behaviors. I will provide dedicated, confidential listening to create a bright future.

Sometimes things feel too difficult to bear alone. Maybe you are experiencing a challenging transition, struggling with the past, or dealing with strong feelings such as hopelessness, loss of self-worth, or isolation. As a counselor, I can offer a listening ear and a non-judgmental attitude as we navigate whatever you are going through together. If you are a parent seeking help for your child, I offer Child-Centered Play therapy for children ages 4-12. Children engage in counseling by interacting with the therapist and toys in a special setting. I team with parents and have parent consults regularly.

My typical counseling approach, and that of my colleagues at Homestead Hope Counseling Services, is anchored firmly and unapologetically in the Christian world-view. We do so with a clear, unwavering theistic paradigm that acknowledges God's sovereignty in all things, as He is intimately interested in, and responsive to, each person and all they experience. Therefore, unless otherwise directed by the client, our approach will inherently involve the use of biblical revelation and the principles found therein, when ever appropriate and applicable. The Christ centered world view is paramount to my approach to healing.

Transitions can bring incredible growth. But sometimes, we can't see the possibilities because change is hard and often painful. I'm here to support you through your transition journey: entering/leaving the military, becoming a new parent, launching young adults, divorce, grief.

Things seem dark; you may be overwhelmed but you're not alone. I aim to create an environment where hope is renewed and healing can occur. Sometimes it takes reaching the point of desperation to take this leap into new and unknown territory. Many clients find me when they believe they have tried everything, nothing seems to have worked, and they are ready to give up. I firmly believe healing is always possible, no matter the circumstances or depth of trauma, and there is resilience and courage within us all, waiting to be uncovered. My specialized trainings include: Gottman Level 1 & 2, Brainspotting Level 1, TBRI.

For the better part of a decade of my professional career I had the privilege of working with children and teenagers from traumatic backgrounds such as abuse and neglect. That experience paved the way for my approach to counseling which seeks to help clients understand the connections between thoughts, emotions and behaviors. Much of my counseling experience has been focused on the treatment of Anxiety based disorders including phobias, OCD, PTSD, social anxiety, panic, and generalized anxiety. I also have spent noted time helping clients walking through clinical depression and disorders such as AD/HD.

Trauma is a disruptive force in people’s lives. Combined with the loss of social supports and routines that once sustained us, it can be hard to feel productive as life simply feels overwhelming. To cope, many of us are falling back on destructive habits such as abusing drugs and alcohol while others are experiencing panic attacks. Further, those of us with children are stretched thin, and it can be hard to meet their needs adequately while running on emotional fumes. Yet, even during this time of upheaval and uncertainty, you are not alone. There is a path forward, and by working together we can shine a light upon it.
