Therapy is a relationship and like all relationships, not everyone is a good match. We do get a sense when someone is (potentially at least!) right, and trusting that gut feeling is a good place to start. Honestly, I think reading something like this can give you an ok first impression, but nothing beats actually hearing someone’s voice, seeing their face. Then you can really know if you feel safe and are able to be yourself. That's so important.
