I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and have been working in the profession for over 5 years. Throughout this time, I have helped my clients become empowered to work through various life issues. My client experience ranges from Christian counseling, substance use disorders, anxiety, depression, work life/career challenges, overcoming loss and grief, self-worth, and life transitions. I believe it’s important to work with an end goal, and equally important to modify thoughts, emotions, and behaviors as necessary.

Brenda Ramsey is a Licensed Pastoral Counselor, Advanced Certification in Marriage/Family and Temperament Counseling and member of National Christian Counselor's Association (NCCA). Additionally, Mrs. Ramsey is a Licensed Pastoral Counselor of The Austin Vineyard Church, and Former Director of Family Life Skills of Austin. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Christian Counseling from Colorado Theological Seminary. She is currently on staff as a Licensed Pastoral Counselor at Head to Heart Restoration Ministry, in Round Rock, Texas. She offers in-person and remote counseling sessions.

Dwight Newell is a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 30 years of experience in the mental health field. He has worked in outpatient, inpatient, and intensive outpatient settings to offer quality mental healthcare to assist those in need. He has worked with individuals, families, and couples to assist them in learning the steps necessary to reach their greatest level of happiness. Dwight has worked with all age ranges needing to learn skills to reach higher levels of life satisfaction. Dwight has worked with parents to help them learn ways to guide their children to attain a greater level of emotional health.

We have therapists (Licensed, Associates and Graduate Students Interns) who specialize in different age groups (teens, young adults, middle age, and elderly), constellations (individual therapy, couples therapy, family therapy), and targets (pastors & missionaries, EMDR, affair recovery, blended families, veterans, grief & loss, etc.). If a client requests to incorporate Christian spirituality into counseling, our therapists are well trained to do so. However, we are incredibly respectful of our clients’ faith beliefs, including those who profess faith and those who do not.

I have worked as the lead clinical therapist at an inpatient treatment center for adult women with trauma, as well as an inpatient treatment center with teens focused on behavioral issues. I have also worked with single adults, married couples, and retirees. I have also worked in Intensive outpatient programs for adult men.

When you are disconnected from yourself, it's really difficult to make decisions, feel motivated to do anything, or feel like you are living at all. When you are disconnected from others, it's isolating, lonely, and can cause ruptures in important relationships. Trauma is any experience that is too much for your system to handle and can occur at any point in your life. These experiences leave you feeling unbalanced, scattered, and, at times, tormented by the past. You long to feel like yourself again, or maybe for the first time.

There are times where life can feel overwhelming, or uncertain. There may be moments in the past or a hard times right now that makes moving forward seem impossible. No matter what you believe about yourself or your life at this moment, change is possible. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, OCD, depression, grief, trauma, trying to adjust to something new. My hope is that you and I can work together to help relieve what is troubling you and discover new ways to adapt and have more meaning in your life.
