We deal with daily obstacles that challenge our ability to grow and develop balanced and healthy relationships. I know that we get "stuck" with our emotions and behaviors which could sometimes create distress for us and the ones we love.

I specialize in helping those with chronic anxiety, who have been through trauma or experience PTSD, issues of sexual abuse, depression and addiction, as well as stress related issues. Most of my internship experience has been in the private practice setting. Whether you are seeking guidance for current difficulties or seeking healing for past wounds, I will tailor counseling to your needs. As a counselor, I enjoy walking alongside and assisting my clients through difficult times. It is a great honor to offer a professional perspective as well as an accepting and caring environment.

As Executive Director at the Family Counseling Center, I count the variety involved in my job as an asset. In addition to my therapeutic practice, I also teach in our organization's private elementary school and oversee the multiple details of running the organization.

I am an SMU counseling graduate.I have worked several years with mentally ill clients having Bipolar, Depression, Anxiety and Schizophrenia. I have also worked with at risk youth, Gifted and Talented, autism, and children going through adjustments. I use a mixture of EMDR and ACT. I believe that we have much less control over our thoughts and feelings than we would like to believe so my focus with clients is action because our behaviors are one thing that we have significant control over. If you want to feel differently, you have to behave differently, and I will help you create a plan to do just that!
