I currently work in a private practice setting in Kingwood specializing in working with clients who want to improve their marital relationship by addressing underlying issues causing dissatisfaction or conflict. I also specialize in walking alongside clients who are experiencing the myriad of emotions that follow a significant loss, including a spouse, child, or divorce. I approach clients with the utmost support, care, and concern for their overall health and wellness. Every effort is made to ensure the best possible therapeutic experience while offering a high degree of professionalism yet connectedness with each client.

We help people discover long-lasting solutions that work for them. Identifying unhelpful thoughts and coping mechanisms and working to change them can create relief. I work with those in their late teens through geriatrics in individual, marital or family therapy. I thoroughly assess each client and work with their own unique circumstances and strengths to address their issues, resolve presenting problems and accomplish goals. I specialize in the treatment of issues including: mental illness, phase of life, grief and loss, reconciliation, divorce, adjustment to medical or mental health diagnosis, occupational, spiritual, trauma, abuse and women’s issues. Beyond my education and professional experience, I draw from a myriad of personal life experiences that have made me a better therapist.

I offer psychotherapy services to adults with a wide range of presenting problems, including anxiety, mood, adjustment, and interpersonal difficulties. I especially enjoy working with survivors of trauma and have specialized training with combat Veterans and survivors of childhood abuse, rape, and interpersonal violence. I have completed training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing and am currently completing training in Modern Psychoanalysis through the Center for Group Studies in New York.

I customize each treatment plan according to your needs, and adjust accordingly. I do not believe in cookie cutter counseling/therapy, as rape and violence is not cookie cutter.
