Wounds are not to be feared but explored and overcome. Trauma can cause PTSD, Depression, Anxiety, quick temperament, and issues around self-esteem & self worth. In therapy we identify strengths to aide in growth and becoming a better YOU. I strive to work with the whole person, the TRIAD,-mind, body, and spirit, to not only explore and overcome but to HEAL from trauma.

No matter how old you are - it can be terrifying when you don’t feel like yourself in moments of unexpected loss, significant changes, or during extreme states, when nothing seems to work and you might even feel guilty for not being able to “fix it” on your own.

Courage, compassion, curiosity, and vulnerability are key elements of my practice as I help people throughout their therapeutic journey. I prioritize an honest, non-judgemental, open, genuine space and therapeutic relationship to best aid you with what your journey entails and encompasses. My work consists of supporting adults and teens ages 16 and up through complex trauma history and healing, navigating close and intimate relationships, unpacking major life transitions, intentional exploration of your identity and sense of self, or processing the unbearable loss of a loved one.

Every morning is the same. You wake panicked, stomach in knots, thinking about all the things you were supposed to finish yesterday but didn’t. And today’s to-do list makes you wonder if you’ll ever dig yourself out of this hole. You feel like you’re letting everyone down, especially yourself. “How,” you wonder, “can other people get things done with such ease and it be so difficult for me?” Even projects that excite you are hard to start and nearly impossible to finish. The shame hurts. Life would be much easier if you could just focus, but you don’t know how. You constantly beat yourself up. It's getting old.

Issues explored: relations, career, personal challenges, trauma and family dynamics; also, gender roles, power and control issues, inequality, intimacy, sexuality, conflict and self-awareness. I provide my clients with a friendly environment that facilitates exploration, and the possibility of seeing old patterns from a different angle; with deep respect, an interested presence, and a curious attitude about my client's point of view. Suffering is a real thing in this world, such things as grief, depression, addiction, social skills, communication, parenting, dating, marriage, identify and other issues that can cripple a person. Treatment modalities include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Emotional Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy principles and Social Skills training.
