I work with individuals and couples with a variety of concerns such as: Anxiety, Stress, Conflict, Body Image Concerns, Eating Disorders, Depression, Grief, Anger, Life Transition, Trauma/Post-traumatic Stress Disorder, Relationship Concerns, Marriage Counseling, Parenting Issues, Career Exploration.
Are you struggling in life? Does anxiety keep you awake at night? Do you feel sad and blue? Is your relationship in trouble? Do you spend too much time worrying about your looks? If you are struggling in life with these issues, you are not alone. Life can be difficult and many people have felt the way you do. Individuals often feel that something needs to be seriously wrong with them in order to seek therapy. Nothing could be further from the truth. It is often helpful to have an objective, nonjudgmental person to help you through life's challenges.

I see many individuals who are dealing with relationship, grief, anxiety, depression and other mood issues.
As a Licensed Professional Counselor since 1994,I have been dedicated to working with children, adolescents and families dealing with life challenges. In my practice, I give clients hope and work collaboratively with them to address the issues impacting them. I have experience with children, adolescents, adults, couples and families. My practice offers a safe and encouraging environment where growth and change can occur.

For example: trauma and codependency, shame, betrayal, financial and relationship infidelity, the behaviors of the addiction cycle, grief, depression, anxiety, and PTSD.
I don't know what issue brought you here. I haven't met you. I'm not going to tell you what you need. I only know one thing about you: that you're here. So I will focus on that. The variations in our experience are so extraordinarily complex. I want to listen to yours, because that is where we can start. Then, I want us to work on your garden together, growing to seed the desires for your life that will blossom, even being enriched by the mud, if we nurture them with the right tools.

I am best suited for working with BIPOC women experiencing life transitions, grief, relationship challenges, work/relationship/motherhood balance, and impacts of trauma. I integrate somatic techniques such as EMDR and yoga practices to strengthen a mind-body connection. I believe BIPOC women can heal wounded parts and deconstruct negative beliefs when we get curious. Together, we can increase your level of self-awareness, learn mind-body practices, increase your capacity to manage life's stressors and create healthy boundaries. Ultimately, allowing you to feel more confident and in control of your life.

I believe therapy should provide anyone the space they need to identify, process, and treat the problems they face in day to day life. We are all equipped with the tools we need to succeed and find wholeness - but sometimes even the strongest people need a little help working through challenges in life. Learning how to make choices that help you overcome difficult issues is my goal in counseling. As a former school counselor, I have experience working with children learn to deal with anxiety, anger management, depression, grief, and self-esteem. By providing a safe empathetic environment, we can build healthy coping skills.
