I am a neurodivergent, queer therapist that works with other diagnosed or suspecting neurodiverse folks with trauma (including religious). The last several years I found myself attracting clients who had been diagnosed with anxiety and or depression, tried many different therapists and styles of therapy but weren't seeing lasting improvements. This has led me to pursue certification in evaluation of ADHD/ ASD and begin treating through a neurodiverse lens. If you suspect you have one or the other or both, lets work together to help you understand yourself. Trauma treatment with a neurodiverse lens is lifechanging!

I am an ally of the LGBT community and understand the unique struggles faced by those living alternative lifestyles.
Who am I? What is my purpose? What does the science say? Where is the evidence? These are some of my favorite questions I hear as a counselor. My name is Ron Saenz and I'm an LPC passionate about exploring the mind-body connection through DBT, mindfulness meditation, flow, yoga and martial arts. I use my love for psychology and behavioral science to teach clients about how the brain works, while helping them integrate research-proven wellness practices into their everyday lives. I believe that therapy should be both fun and fulfilling, and have made it my mission to share this passion with every client I meet.

You are powerful. Maybe you don't feel it right now and that's OK. Borrow my faith: you can handle it! You are the expert on you, and I am here to walk with you as you determine what needs to stay & what needs to go. To make a safe place for you to release thoughts, habits or people which are no longer serving you in a positive way. As a self-identifying African- american lesbian, I have had a unique variety of experiences. I work with you to empower your belief and confidence. I believe “Whatever the mind can conceive and believe, the mind can achieve.” One step at a time, we are working towards progress over perfection.

I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges, LGBT-QIA issues and challenges that come with changes in life.
The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear. -Nelson Mandela Sometimes we really want growth, change and/or to just feel better, but we can be scared to take those first steps to making change. Men, in particular men of color, find seeking help as a sign of weakness. I am here to tell you that this is one of the bravest things you could ever do and the rewards are limitless when you face this challenge. Therapy can be scary new waters, but you reading these words now is proof that you have been brave enough to dip your toe in the waters of change- so jump on in- the water is just fine!

I'm a sex therapist and psychotherapist, specializing in trauma, polyamory, consensual non monogamy and open relationships, with a particular focus on the LGBTQ+ community.
I am currently taking new telehealth clients for sex therapy, couples therapy and trauma therapy. My ideal client wants to heal. With all the trauma from the past few years, self-work has never been more necessary and normalized. Coming out of a global pandemic, with relationships and sex lives suffering, we all need to be intentional about rebuilding emotional, mental and sexual health. Whether you’re trying to heal from trauma, improve communication and intimacy in your relationship(s), explore polyamory or consensual non monogamy, or explore sexual and/or gender identity, I believe I can help you to achieve your personal goals.

I am affirming and open to working with LGBTQIA populations and those with alternative life and/or relationship styles and orientations.
It's an act of bravery to seek support and engage in the therapeutic journey. To sit with pain, fear, and discomfort can be challenging, yet it can have a profound impact on our growth, healing and well-being. Your whole self is welcome in our work together. I strive to provide a safe, nonjudgmental environment while empowering you to reach your goals through developing your strengths and equipping you with practical psychoeducation and tools along the way. Rooted in an ecological systems framework, I integrate various evidence-based techniques, incorporating mindfulness and nervous system regulation strategies in particular.

Are you in a relationship that could benefit from better communication, boundary-setting, and deeper emotional and physical intimacy? Do you identify as LGBTQIA+ and seek support with coming out or improving your familial and intimate relationships while nurturing self-acceptance? Therapy provides a safe space to gain awareness about yourself and the dynamics of your close relationships, the first step toward meaningful and positive change. Building on these skills helps create relief from anxiety, depression, and stress. Together, we can work on new strategies to increase safety, connection, trust, and love in your relationships.

In addition, I love helping queer folks or people struggling with trauma resolve any issues around their identity or overall functioning.
My overall goal of therapy is holding you accountable in a nonjudgmental way that supports your goals, validates your efforts, and challenges you in a way that aligns with your worldview. I like to offer feedback in an objective way and suggest skills and perspectives that you choose whether or not to implement. The methodology of my approach is conversation; two people in a room trying to figure things out while utilizing various perspectives, theories, and attempts. An emphasis of my time with you is always you; your goals, thoughts, emotions, and beliefs are valuable and I find exploring them in a therapeutic setting helpful.
