Dr. Kimberly Patterson is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with the state of Texas, and advocate of social change. She is the owner of Impact Counseling & Wellness Education services. Dr. Kimberly Patterson obtained her PhD in Counseling Supervision with a concentration in social change from Walden University. She is also a Chopra Global certified Meditation teacher and Ayurveda Health instructor. Dr. Patterson is committed to utilizing a holistic and systemic approach to assist clients in developing a deeper awareness of self. She has worked as a psychotherapist for over 13 years and has worked in a variety of settings.

I'm here to help you as you work through your stress, anxiety, depression, past trauma and build resilience. We can need help in our personal life, family life and our professional life. I am in my second career as a therapist. I started out as an attorney and realized that I needed to make a big change in my life. Making that change took some hard work, but it was well worth it. Creating a SAFE and non-judgmental space for my clients to freely express themselves is of utmost importance. I am currently pursuing my Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology to further my education and training in mental health counseling.

My clients often share that they feel heard, seen, and celebrated as individuals throughout therapy. I apply research-backed, trauma-informed, multi-culturally competent individual therapy to instill hope, self-compassion, and empowerment in young people. I have experience as a school social worker, and especially enjoy working with students and teens, young adults, and the LGBTQIA+ community. I love being a social worker because I enjoy helping clients uncover their strength and start living the life they have been dreaming of.
