I am fully bilingual in Spanish and English. I have 10+ years of experience working with children and adults providing individual and family counseling, including extensive experience providing trauma-informed care with immigrant families and youth involved with the foster care and juvenile justice systems. I will strive to instill hope by empowering clients to discover and build on their own strengths. My training includes a MA in counseling, MS in marriage and family therapy and BS in human development and family studies. I have worked in the mental health field over 15 years and have been licensed since 2006. My areas of expertise range from community mental health to crisis intervention.

She has provided trauma-recovery, cognitive behavioral, behavior modification, and insight oriented therapy, to survivors of sex, physical, emotional abuse and other life changing events. Ms. Layne has extensive experience working in juvenile justice systems, and under the guidance of psychiatrists, and psychologists providing assessments, crisis, short, and longer term therapy services.

I have a Ph.D. in clinical psychology and did my internship at Baylor College of Medicine. Over 25 years of experience working with teens, adults and couples from diverse backgrounds. I work especially well with people who suffer from depression or anxiety and people who want help with stress management or establishing a healthier lifestyle. I have been an avid runner for over 40 years. I help people navigate our complicated health care system and am medically-savvy.
