Over the last seven years I have provided care and treatment to individuals looking for similar support as yourself. I have worked with minor children, adolescents, young adults, individuals, couples, married couples, families, groups, veterans, and the senior community all for the same reasons; to provide care and treatment during challenging times.

Through this journey of discovery, whether it's via navigating trauma, drama (relationships), or even your mama (issues)-it can be hard to see improvement with just talking to yourself. You may be ready to use that life-line, if so I am available and willing to help you reach the other side.

My philosophy as a Mental Health Professional involves the client centered approach to (1) foster increased independent thinking and stabilized mood, (2) progress towards healthier lifestyles (3) achievement of desired goals/ outcomes from therapy; including (a) improved interpersonal relationships, (b) development/ improvement of acceptable and appropriate social interaction, (c) improved self-image, self worth, and self perception, (d) positive interaction between the client, the therapist &others and (e) increased level of daily and global functioning.

Ashley graduated in 2015 with her Masters of Science degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Texas Woman’s University. She is currently working towards her Ph.D. in Marriage and Family Therapy, also at Texas Woman’s University. Ashley has over 7 years of clinical experience and employs a Solution Focused and Narrative approach in the therapy room. She has experience in working with families, couples, and individuals who have experienced a multitude of presenting issues. Ashley wants to hear your story, and she wants to help find solutions to the issues that are brought into the room.

I enjoy working with preteens, teens and adults struggling with anxiety, relationship issues, life transitions, the weight of depression, and pain of grief. I also work with those managing ADHD/ADD. I believe in walking alongside my clients, working to identify goals, and developing strategies for achieving them. I am EMDR trained and utilize this to help with the processing of trauma and minimizing symptoms.

Mental illness or life stressors can distract us from living healthy and productive lives. It can also negatively impact relationships that are important to us. Our past negative experiences can often dictate our future if not addressed. Often times, therapy helps improve our relationships with those people with care and love. It helps to have a safe place to process your feelings, work on relationships, and better understand patterns of behavior when feeling overwhelmed or stuck.
