My sessions are provided in English and Portuguese via telehealth. Most of my clients are individuals who suffer from depression, anxiety, panic, obsessions and compulsions, co-dependency, and/or relationship issues. It is painful to see your child struggling, and daunting to figure out what to do to help. Our world is putting a lot of pressure on kids, and that does not seem to be changing. However, equipping your kids with a healthy view of themselves and relationships makes a huge difference in facing the stressors of day to day living. I am passionate about working with kids that have been through hard things including abusive situations, foster care, medical trauma, and bullying just to name a few. I love helping kids and their caregivers learn about how their brains work and how to help them heal to move forward in life with confidence.

My specialty is intimacy disorders including sex/love addiction & avoidance. Bad relationships can ruin your life & your happiness; however, relationships can be turned around. When addiction is present, the chances of real intimacy are small. Love addiction is a powerful & debilitating disorder that is very serious & potentially life threatening. Developmental trauma (also known as family of origin trauma or codependence) is a set up for self esteem & intimacy issues. If left untreated developmental trauma can lead to depression, anxiety, addiction & physical illness (Pia Mellody's). You're not alone!

Over the course of my career, I have worked with various populations of child, teen, and adult clients in the mental health field. I can honestly say that I love what I do and have always found a unique way to connect with each client. I believe it is important to view each person who I meet with an intersectional and unbiased lens and to construct a treatment plan and therapy style for each client that is in line with not just their specific mental health needs, but their personality, sense of humor, and personal values.
