I specialize in treating adults who have experienced past or recent trauma and are suffering with anxiety, depression, or relationship struggles. Unresolved trauma can show up as substance misuse/abuse, dissociation, isolation, anger, and codependence. Together, we will explore the past events creating current symptoms, so you can begin healing. As we work together, you'll begin to understand your triggers, instinctive defenses, and protective patterns keeping you stuck. As you begin to understand your past, you'll begin healing the symptoms in the present.

It is my belief that everyone has innate value and purpose to offer the world and that we all have the power within us to be who we want to be. Oftentimes, obstacles in life keep us from getting a clear vision of how to identify what we want and to achieve our goals. I love helping clients to process through their difficult life experiences identify how these experiences can help propel them forward. I often work with teens and adults who are struggling with Anxiety, Depression, identity, career, or finding purpose in their lives. I also have 18 years of experience as a competitive gymnast and love working with athletes.

Accepting new clients! I'm so glad you're here! Finding the right therapist can be a daunting task. We will work together to identify unhelpful patterns in your life all while building healthy new ones. Our time together will be spent processing emotions and wounds from the past so that we can focus our energy on developing new skills and understanding of ourselves. Our first session will be spent getting to know each other and developing goals for your time in therapy. In my office you will process emotions as well as develop new skills. I am EMDR trained, which can be helpful for those feeling stuck or struggling with the past.

I was once asked, when will things stop going wrong and I will be in control of my life? This is a sentiment many of us share which can leave us struggling to get through the day. My response was that change is constant. In today's ever changing world, we are all challenged to adapt. Working together, we will seek self understanding, explore new ways to cope, pursue increased internal control and self-esteem, and strive to become the better versions of ourselves. As we persevere and develop strengths we become stronger more capable. Things that go wrong become small bumps in the road versus the road blocks they once were.

I have gradually centered my work around people dealing with trauma, addiction, attachment struggles and OCD because I identify with the experience and have experienced healing myself. Complex trauma, attachment difficulties, addiction and OCD often cause chronic emotional disregulation. The attention grabbing power of the past or the future remove connection with the present and the people in it. Additionally, persistent negative beliefs about oneself, God or others make progress feel too hard or a fleeting and disappointing experience. Helping people find freedom and start living is the passion that fuels my work.

I treat all clients with positive regard and compassion. Utilization of treatment modalities to best suit the client and their presenting problems is carefully thought out. I will assist in identifying sources of feelings of despair, loneliness, loss, unresolved guilt, fear, and anger .I am also a licensed clinical supervisor for Social Workers pursuing their LCSW.
