I am currently accepting clients! My name is Darian (she/her) and I hold a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology. Currently, I am also earning a doctoral degree in Counseling Psychology at Texas Woman's University. I enjoy working with people who have experienced complex trauma and people who are experiencing shame, anxiety, depression, and relational disconnection. I also enjoy working with members of the LGBTQIA+ community and am dedicated to creating a supportive environment that fosters connection, empowerment, and lasting change.

I believe that it is important that we connect and you feel safe. My educational training is as a generalist, which provides me the skills to implement many different evidence based interventions and treat most issues that bring people to therapy. My expertise is in working with adults who have experienced trauma, particularly interpersonal abuse such as sexual abuse/assault, relationship abuse, etc.

I specialize in treating children, adolescents, and adults facing challenges related to anxiety, depression, mood disorders, trauma, and PTSD. My goal is to assist you in processing the difficulties that may hinder your progress. I bring experience working with sexual abuse, parenting concerns, and behavioral issues.

I manage and serve as the primary therapist and am a licensed professional counselor in full-time private practice. I have been practicing in the North Texas area since 2007. I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Southern Methodist University and a Master of Arts degree in Biblical Counseling from Dallas Theological Seminary. I have experience with helping individuals, couples, adolescents, and children through a number of different mental health related issues. I have a particular interest and heart for helping those that have a history of sexual abuse trauma.

I specialize in addictions (both adult and adolescent) and parent child relationships with teenagers. I work with young adults in helping them transition from high school to college to adult life. I have also had a great deal of experience working with victims of sexual abuse (both adult and adolescent). I believe in helping people define what they want and help them figure out a plan to work towards that goal. As a therapist who has formerly worked in full time ministry I also enjoy working with people who are dealing with religious issues whether it is deconstruction or helping them develop the spiritual life they want.

I have been in practice 16-years and have opened my service area thanks to Google Meet & Facetime. I became a therapist (I have a dual degree in both individual & family therapy) after beginning my own work over 2 decades ago. I see therapy as a tool, a valuable asset that helps us to pull from our history and present the things that work so our future can be everything we want.

Prior to being in private practice, I spent four years as a counselor at Grapevine Valley Hope, a residential chemical dependency treatment center, helping adults begin to overcome their addictions to drugs and alcohol. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over a decade of experience working with Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar, Self Esteem problems, Domestic and Sexual Abuse, Schizophrenia, and other major mental health challenges. I work mostly with adults and am particularly passionate about working with Geriatric/Elderly populations and those in the LGBTQ communities. My primary types of therapy are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused, and Strengths-Based, although I pull from many areas depending on my client’s needs.
