I believe that every person can reach their fullest potential in life with the right support and guidance. There are times that you may feel anxious, depressed hopeless, and alone. In these times it can be very helpful to have someone to help you navigate your way through these challenges to a state of mental wellness and stability. Counseling can provide a safe and confidential space to learn skills and address feelings that likely impact many areas of your life.

Do you feel heavy with despair, struggling each day to keep your head just above the darkness and dread? Does it take every ounce of energy to stay afloat? Or are you feeling overwhelmed by feelings of helplessness and hopelessness? Do you feel anxious and worry too much about a variety of things or a specific issue? Is there an issue surrounding a lack of faithfulness, money, being a parent, the in-laws, or work? Do you need someone to talk with that will listen? Do you need to better understand and cope with previous trauma? Are you feeling profound sadness after the death of a loved one? I deeply value, understand and listen.

Counseling is a process. One that eventually enables you to help yourself with the concerns or dilemmas you are experiencing. Taking charge of the responsibility of your mental health is as critical as caring for your physical health. I know how overwhelming it can be when trying to select a counselor to fit your individual needs. I offer a positive environment in which you can feel free to work through difficulties that life presents.

I am glad that you have taken the first step in obtaining the life you want. It takes courage to seek help and have the desire to change where you are in life. I believe the therapeutic process should be non-judgmental, compassionate and safe. Although just talking with someone may work for some, I do not find this to be the most productive way. I believe results will be achieved quicker if the sessions are goal oriented and we hold each other accountable. I am a seasoned counselor with areas of expertise in stress and anxiety reduction, relationship issues, career and education counseling, depression and other life challenges.

Hello! I'm so happy you're here. If you're stuck in patterns of over-working, people-pleasing, self-doubt, hyper-independence and burnout, you're in the right place. Whether you're a trauma survivor, parent, business owner, creative, coach, or fellow therapist, I know how exhausting it can feel to pour so much into your work and relationships, only to feel like something's missing or things just aren't changing. Here’s the thing, though. No matter how long you have felt stuck, you can break free from patterns of stress, trauma and burnout with the right support. This is where I come in.

Relationships are hard, under the best of circumstances. When "extra" challenges-like the pressure of parenting young children, struggles with communication & conflict, addiction, or life stressors are added onto our lives, it can be so overwhelming. We each are a result of many experiences- families of origin, current families, social & cultural experiences. Regardless of our circumstances, attachment science shows we all want connection & understanding. Our humanness is made up of social, emotional, spiritual & physical elements. All of these are connected & important. To respect, acknowledge & nurture these truths is my goal.

We look at the whole person, not just symptoms. The possibility exists that you do not have a mental illness. Instead, it may be more of a mind-body-spirit incongruence. This can be generated by having a disconnected set of both thoughts and feelings, medication conflicts, deteriorating/ depletion body healing properties, sleep patterns, resulting in an inadequate relief from your life events. It can also be directly related to malnutrition, dehydration issues, and a lack of having a strong spiritual principles in your life. Other factors may be injection injuries, residual trauma, unresolved grief issues, just to name a few.

As an experienced Somatic Trauma Therapist in Texas, I help moms, wives, and high-achieving women working through life's challenges involving complex trauma, anxiety, stress, relational issues, and other difficulties that have become a block in their lives. My practice goes beyond traditional 'talk therapy'; I believe in targeting the root of the disturbance that has become frozen within the body using faith-based principles and somatic-based interventions like biofeedback and Brainspotting modalities. The therapy space is held for you, the client, to heal the way the heart and brain were designed to.

Waitlist for new clients
My clients often come to me with life transition issues (teens, parenting challenges, relationship issues, major life events, trauma) and are experiencing a loss of identity, lack of direction and symptoms of pervasive anxiety . Together we explore with compassion for the journey to this point, identifying the life worth living and develop a cohesive treatment plan to meet those goals. Through peeling back layers of an onion, we tackle areas of trauma, hurt, shame as we grow empathy for self and tools to start actively changing the cycle of pain. My proudest moment is when a client is able to step down in treatment as goals are met.

Each of us is on our own "hero's journey" through life. Do you feel stuck, lost, anxious or fearful on your journey and want to know which path to take? I'd love to help you find your way. Therapy is not an easy "fix" for the issues along your journey, but it is a helpful place to address underlying roots that cause disconnection with other and conflict within yourself. My ideal client is someone who is eager to explore the issues that keep them stuck. I enjoy helping people find their life path once again, or maybe for the first time. As of 10/14/24 I have 1 biweekly/every other week spot available!
