He started his career working at the VA in Houston in trauma recovery with Vietnam, Korean War, and WW2 era veterans. After leaving the VA, Scot worked as a counselor in all levels of care including psychiatric inpatient, residential treatment centers, intensive outpatient programs for substance abuse and mental health, and again with Michael E.
