I work with young children, tweens, and teens to build self-awareness, compassion, and healthy communication. Most of the individuals with whom I work suffer with social skills, anxiety, poor self-image, or impulse control concerns. I use a collaborative style of treatment that includes input from the child themselves, the parents, and other health care providers. I believe it is crucial to consider developmental level, motivation, support systems, and current strengths to help build healthier forms of coping.

My practice is primarily family therapy where multiple family members participate. The majority of the families I work with have at least one, if not many, of the following diagnoses: AD/HD, oppositional defiant disorder, selective mutism, learning disorders (dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, pragmatic communication, etc), social communication disorder, autism, anxiety, depression, OCD, PTSD, and/or bipolar disorder. I actively use Accelerated Resolution Therapy(ART) to help people gain relief from trauma and persistent unwanted thoughts. I also offer comprehensive reports for social security applications.

I Provide individual and family therapy to ages 7-100, encompassing all presenting problems with a special interest in treating those with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, Bi-Polar disorder, and high-risk adolescents and families in crisis. I am skilled in numerous therapy modalities and create individualized treatment plans to meet specific client needs. I provide client-centered therapy, so that the client's goals are met and their personal success is long-term. Your relationship with your therapist is a major factor in the outcome of your therapy. I will do my best to foster a trusting and supportive relationship.

I chose the path of family therapist, most simply stated, because human beings do not live in a bubble. I believe that connectedness, feeling known and understood by others, has the potential to cultivate wellness despite one’s circumstances and/or history. My passion is grounded in partnering with clients in their journey to enhance their quality of life far beyond their expectations, which often begins with guided self-reflection. Through the utilization of a holistic lens, I work with clients to develop self-worth, to generate motivation to step outside of their "uncomfortable" comfort zones, and to assert healthy boundaries.

Life isn't simple and everyone has a story. I love working with the out of the box thinkers, empaths, and the weird and wonderful. I specialize in both trauma and neurodivergence. I approach neurodivergence as a way of being, not disorders in need of "fixing". I welcome you as you are. I also work with high acuity individuals who have a history of higher levels of care. I have extensive experience in working with teens and adults experiencing complex trauma and mental health symptoms, eating disorders, psychosis, and self-injury. I am LGBTQIA+ affirming. I am a licensed supervisor and love working with therapists too!
