Our agency serves clients from 4 y/o to elderly, and every issue except active substance abuse and active psychosis. Upon 30 days sobriety or 30 days stabilization on psychotropic medications, IA can see these clients as well. IA clients include these cultural specialties: 1) Spanish-speaking, 2) Clients seeking Christian-based services on request and definition of what this means to them, 3) Children in play therapy, and 4) the elderly.

Greetings, my clinical training is in Cognitive Behavior Therapy which assists in understanding personal struggles linked to the way we think and process our daily thoughts, worries and fears, which can lead to cyclical maladaptive behaviors. My emphasis is also in understanding the importance sleep cycles, mindfulness, nutrition, and exercise as part of our overall mental health. Although I completed my PhD in Clinical Psychology in 2006, I have been a Licensed Professional Counselor since 1994, working in the mental health field since 1986.

I work with individuals and families who come from various walks of life, covering a wide range of issues including depression, anxiety, and trauma. It is my desire that everyone I encounter grows closer to healing and finding joy.

No one gets through life without some sort of difficulty, set-back, or tragedy. What becomes important is how to get to the other side triumphantly. Therapy provides the support and techniques to assist clients in developing strategies and coping skills to reduce symptoms and to heal from difficult life circumstances. I enjoy working with individuals, couples, and families. I believe in addressing a client's immediate concern, their current functioning, and their identified goals. I use a variety of treatment modalities and select those that best serve the needs of my clients. I do not believe in meeting with clients indefinitely. My hope is to help clients reach their goals and get to the point where they no longer need therapy. I believe in teaching my clients the specific skills they need to address their problem or concern.
