Dr. Hungerford specializes in working with individual adults and couples dealing with many of life's conflicts including, but not limited to, anxiety, depression, difficult intimate relationships, low self-esteem, chronic pain, and grief. She also has experience working with children, adolescents, and elders with problems in the home and/or school. She utilizes Cogitative Behavioral Therapy, Solution-based Therapy, and the Gottman Method for couples' therapy.

I am a CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) practitioner. My primary goal as a therapist is to assist clients to reach their goals and to maximize happiness/well-being through making cognitive and behavioral changes. My secondary goal is to assist clients to have the necessary tools and skills to be their own therapist/self-help expert. I have been practicing, and studying the philosophical roots of, CBT since 2007. From 2007 to 2017, I worked as a CBT practitioner within the criminal justice system. During that time, I earned my Masters Degree (2016) and became licensed in Texas (2017).

I love working with high school/college students, healthcare professionals, seniors and individuals who are experiencing life transitions or identity loss/confusion. However, this does not mean that I am not open or experienced in working with clients with different challenges.
