I am a trauma therapist with over 7 years experience working with adolescents and adults. I have been honored to help people with a broad spectrum of backgrounds, circumstances and severities of trauma. Some examples: I have been the trauma specialist at juvenile detention centers, worked with those living with HIV and AIDs, helped with interpersonal relationships between children and their parent/care giver, worked with those in crisis and those trying to resolve current struggles.

I have 20+ years of experience working in psychiatric hospitals, medical facilities, community health centers, pediatric clinics, schools, and residential treatment centers. I offered many years to working with children, adolescents, parents, and families through child protective services, rape crisis centers, shelters, neighborhood centers, and adoption centers. I am experienced in the diagnosis and treatment of disorders including PTSD, Depression, Trauma, Anxiety, & Psychosis including the management of other symptoms that stem from family/ relationship conflict, social difficulties, poor school performance, and violence/ abuse.

This can negatively affect our mood. You can learn to control anxiety and thoughts with techniques, practice, changing your self talk and addressing beliefs about yourself.
