I have been working as a Licensed Professional Counselor for the past 30 years in many settings (day treatment, foster care, homeless shelters, & residential treatment centers). I have worked with children, adolescents, their families, & individual adults. My areas of expertise include mood disorders, parenting issues, behavioral problems, overcoming traumas & abuse, & stress management. Greetings, my clinical training is in Cognitive Behavior Therapy which assists in understanding personal struggles linked to the way we think and process our daily thoughts, worries and fears, which can lead to cyclical maladaptive behaviors. My emphasis is also in understanding the importance sleep cycles, mindfulness, nutrition, and exercise as part of our overall mental health. Although I completed my PhD in Clinical Psychology in 2006, I have been a Licensed Professional Counselor since 1994, working in the mental health field since 1986.
