I have experience with the child welfare system, I understand the dynamics involved with families in crisis. I have experience with individual group and family therapy. Hi, I'm Veronica Pruitt, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Texas. I focus in several areas including addiction, coping skills, stress, LGBTQIA+, relationship issues, and dual diagnosis, amongst others. My approach is culturally sensitive and person-centered and utilizes modalities including CBT, Gestalt, Motivational Interviewing, Rational Emotive Behavior, and Reality Therapy.

I am a Rio Grande Valley native that is currently living in the Texas Hill Country. I have been providing therapy services over 17 years working with people with substance use disorders, dual diagnosis, mood disorder, and persons who have disabilities.

Being nervous about starting therapy is natural, which is why I work with each client to establish a relationship of honesty and openness so you can feel comfortable sharing your feelings. There is no magic wand in life but you don’t have to face challenges on your own. Therapy is a journey. I approach each session as a time to learn about you—what motivates you and what ails you. I understand the importance of each individual’s culture so I can fully understand you as a person. Together, we will determine the best possible solutions to address your individual needs.

Accepting new clients. With over 13 years of experience, I have a passion for helping others discover their best selves. Fears, anxieties, and difficult circumstances can leave us feeling stuck and hold us back from living the life we truly want. I join with my clients to explore barriers and overcome them to create a sense of peace and wholeness. Therapy is the most beneficial when we engage in meaningful discussion and exploration of your thoughts, feelings, beliefs, and life history. My goal with clients is to help them arrive at a place where they feel comfortable, secure, and empowered to be themselves.
