I have my Masters in Counseling from Texas Wesleyan University and I’m a current PhD candidate in Marriage and family therapy at Texas Wesleyan university. During her 30+ year history in private practice as a clinical psychologist specializing in relationship issues, she also trained relationship therapists worldwide, enjoyed media exposure (including The Oprah Winfrey Show),and authored the book "Making Real Love Happen--The New ERA of Intimacy." Simply said,she helps people develop relationships they love. This work is quite different than the stereotypic "marriage counseling." To discover the underlying issues that feed conflict and learn how to develop the behaviors that will create "love" require new learning.

Jessica Schneider-Watson is a Counselor in Parker County, Texas offering Psychotherapy and Christian Counseling services to all ages. She holds a Master of Arts in Psychology & Counseling and Theology from BH Carroll Theological Seminary. She is licensed in Texas as a LPC and enjoys working with individuals, marriages, teens and children. She is highly trained in working with those suffering from depression, anxiety, OCD, marital or relational conflict, high stress, co-parenting, teens and abusive relationships. While using an integrated theory approach, each client is treated based on their specific needs.

Please note: I am not currently accepting BC/BS for marital therapy. Sometimes it feels really hard to communicate with your spouse. What used to be small problems start to feel too hard to fix. The bigger problems become issues that just seem easier to avoid altogether. Other times, it feels like you don’t enjoy the same activities anymore. You can spend time together in the same house all week and feel more like roommates than lovers. You might be good at running a household together, but wonder where the friendship has gone.

I truly enjoy working with my clients on the variety of life's ups and downs. Generally, most of my work is with adults; however, I also see adolescents beginning at 16-years-old. Over the years, I have worked with depression, anxiety, trauma, and some of the more severe mental health problems. My other experience includes working with self-harm and suicidal behaviors, as well as behavior management.
